Gussie and Ray have been married for sixty years!
60 Years!
Gussie + Ray celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at Mrs. K's Tollhouse in Silver Spring, Maryland with their closest family. Right before dinner the couple was given a scrapbook album of photos that began with their wedding and ended with photos of their great grandchild. What an amazing gift and what a way to show the power of photography.
I snagged a short video of Gussie and her sister going through the album and I wanted to share- to see their eyes light up as they turn the pages, viewing images from their past, remembering special days and important people in their lives... that's why I do what I do. I hope that the images I took of their 60th are one day fondly remembered by their children and their children's children on their 60th anniversary.
The power of photography!

Cheers to Fifty Years!
I had the honor of photographing a very special and very small celebration this weekend at the lovely
Comus Inn. 50 years of marriage. Wow.
It is always an honor to photograph special events like this- what an amazing accomplishment!
Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Staples!

50 Years.
Dearest Blog Readers,
I apologize for being so MIA on my blog. I wish I could say that I've taken an extended holiday break, but the truth is that I've been super busy! I have been photographing events and family sessions since New Years Eve and it's been a lot of fun. I've enjoyed 2010 so far!
I promise I'll be back at full blast shortly, but I wanted to share a beautiful image from a very intimate dinner I was asked to photograph last week- a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. It was wonderful and so humbling to be a small part of this special evening.
The couple was surrounded by their children and grandchildren at the fantastic
Comus Inn, one of my favorite venues. I can't even imagine what it must have felt like to look down that long table and think, "We made all this happen!"
Coming up soon: a beautiful Florida wedding, several family sessions, a fun multiple family shoot, some great headshots, and few fantastic new products I'll be offering in 2010! Stay tuned!
