Last month I gave a wedding photography workshop for utah wedding photographers Blake and Bryant of Photo54.com, and my dear friend Samantha (of Samantha Jane Images) who is also a Utah wedding photographer came to model with her best buddy Nic. We shot some of my favorite locations in the downtown slc urban areas and had a hoot n’ hollering good time. Samantha and Nic although just best friends, had awesome chemistry in front of the camera and I think Nic might have liked all the kissing shots we made them do
Here are some of my favorites from the session.

So a little over a week ago, I hosted another full day Utah wedding photography workshop for photographers in Layton. I had an awesome bunch of photographers attend this workshop and it was a riot hanging out with these ladies. We had the following attendees (two of which were pregnant, read on below, haha)
Eve Boxler Farley
Crystal Lamae and Rachel Rehart of R Plus C Photography
Leah Ferguson of Leah Ferguson Photography
I have to tell you how awesome it was walking into Olive Garden for lunch with the ladies, two of them being pregnant, haha. We joked with the waitress about me being a polygamist and Leah was bantering quite a bit to which the waitress replied “you need to beat this one more” Funniest thing ever. Our whole day not only consisted of shooting and learning, but tons of laughter and friendship
Our models were my ever so hot and ever so perfect for each other clients. Addie and Travis were married 12.2.2008 and I shot their wedding photography so I was so excited to see and work together with them again. A special thanks to Leah Miller of Leah Miller Photography for coming along to help hold my reflector
I couldn’t have done it without ya.
Here were a couple quick edits from the session. Also, stay tuned for an announcement about my one on one mentoring contest

On Saturday I hosted another full day wedding photography workshop in Utah for some very awesome photographers. I always enjoy teaching the workshops and helping other photographers advance their businesses and teach them the tools to save time and build confidence. We had quite a mix of photographers this time. We had Christina and Stefan of Patchwork Photography who drove down from Montana, Kristen of ~K~ Photography who drove from Wyoming, and Lisa of Bella Photo based here in Utah. We started out with a little classroom instruction in the morning, then did a live shoot in the downtown SLC area. Special thanks to one of my new interns Sarah for coming down and assisting with lighting, as well as our smokin hot models Shanda and Randy. After the shoot we finished the evening with going over the post processing workflow. I was blown away with some of the shots my students got and I can’t wait til they post them on their blog for you guys to see. Here were some of my favorites from the day.

Sarah looked too cute to not pose for the class
