9PM on a Friday night. While some of you are out dressed to the nines and in your high heels with a fancy drink in hand…I’m sitting here in my comfy clothes, slippers with hot tea {yes, hot…even if it is still 95 freakin’ degrees outside}. I know you’re all shocked…you’re all thinking “TEA?! Not coffee, a redbull…or even a red bull and vodka?!” Let me just put this out there….I’m not fully caffeinated ALL THE TIME! Here’s your pass…go ahead and chalk this one up under the old fogies category. I’ll have you know though….a night in is sometimes quite nice and much needed. I suppose I sound like I had some sort of strenuous and exhausting week. Honestly, I really couldn’t even tell you what even went down this week. However, I do know that last night was date night and we went and saw Crazy, Stupid, Love….and it was crazy, sexy, good. I’ve never been one to have hollywood, celebrity crushes, but after seeing Ryan Gosling….well, I’m willing to cave. If my husband’s celebrity crush can be Scarlett Johansson {yeah…I don’t get that one either}, well then mine is now Ryan Gosling.
Watching the movie last night I laughed a lot and even wiped a tear. I don’t know too many people who can say that their job revolves around love…but somehow we were blessed enough to be put right in the middle of it all! Being immersed in love and relationships throughout life, you learn that love is sometimes crazy. Lets be honest…every family has their crazy moments! And sometimes it even has it’s stupid moments. In the end though, in one way shape or form…it’s worth it.
Putting Amy and Gary’s blog post today, their love for one another put a smile on my face! We first met the two for their engagement session back in the fall. Having spent time with both of them and being apart of such a special day, there’s something so genuine and sweet about them that just draws you in! We absolutely adored being apart of their Carillon Wedding.
On that note, I’m going to continue on in my nostalgia with another cup of sleepy time tea! Cheers to love and comfy Friday nights!

Who doesn’t love a little glitz and glam(…well perhaps aside from the majority of the male population)?!! For those who do, Ashley and Alex’s wedding truly satisfied! The fun little details had us captivated…from the pink birdcage veil, pink diamond ring, the broach and rosette bouquets, the thumb prints of guests, the photobooth with family photo heirlooms, the hilariously entertaining couple’s dance, to even the details on the cake and topper (seriously look at this cake….everything on the cake resembles the wedding day!)…..it was all amazing!! Shelby Peaden and her team were beyond fantastic! Most fun of all…Ashley and Alex’s exuberant and lively personalities!! We seriously went home that evening with smiles on our faces!!

When I say I’m rather backed up in the blogging department, I’m not exaggerating! And I’m sure if anyone notices…it’s our brides who are waiting patiently! This week, I’m sending myself off to the blogging cave!
Here in Florida, the weather is absolutely unpredictable! Almost all our couples have witnessed this is some form I’m sure, but I think Amber and Frank were handed the largest dose of weather unpredictability to date! We had an absolute blast working with It’s A Shore Thing at Rosemary Beach and were kept on our toes to say the least with Mother Nature’s ploys. Mid-way through the night, the venue had to be changed due to horrible storms…and lets just say somehow, the VUE chicks ended up transporting the cupcakes made by Confections on the Coast! Coincidence…I think not!
A few weeks ago, our hearts broke at the news of Amber’s father passing shortly after her wedding. We received a call from her today asking if we could send her a few images for his funeral this week. As heart breaking as it is to lose a loved one, it made Genya and I realize once again why we love what we do…..we were able to give Amber and her family images that they will treasure forever of her father on that special day! Regardless of the crazy weather, Amber and Frank’s wedding was truly beautiful and memorable!

It’s a known fact to many that the VUE chicks are suckers for cake!! When we saw Angela and Brian’s cake, made by Confections on the Coast, it was just the happiness we need to put us over the top….it’s adorable perfection was the “icing on the cake” for us! The cake and vibrant yellows + blue’s captured the heart of Weddings Unveiled’s Blog Director, Kirstin as well! Yesterday, Angela and Brian made the Completely Unveiled blog!!

With bright and cheery warm weather, uplifting tunes and a cup of coffee, we’re kicking off this week on the right foot and in full force! We may not have had a wedding this weekend, but our cameras were working hard with a baby session, maternity session, engagement session, and topped it off with a bridal session!
As if all that wasn’t enough to put us in a cheery mood, this wedding helped to top it off!! Angela and Brian were an absolutely precious couple who met on eHarmony! When Genya and I thought about it, we have actually shot a few weddings where the couples met on eHarmony. You know…with how in love and perfect for each other all these couple are…we’re thinking this eHarmony thing has got a good thing going on!!
Angela and Brian’s big day arrived and boy was it a windy and blustery day! After having to move the ceremony indoors, we figured we were tough enough to conqure the beach…sandstorm and all! I’d say we did a pretty good job…and received an intense sandy facial exfoliation all at the same time! I think Genya and I were cleaning sand out of our ears the rest of the night! I have to say, Angela and Brian were troopers to say the least and pulled it off flawlessly!
