Finally, it’s time to show off Caroline and Scott’s wedding reception! In case you haven’t seen some of their other pictures, we photographed their engagement session, and posted about their wedding ceremony and portraits already. And I have to apologize – I’ve been trying to post this for days and have finally been able to work on this post without (most) technical issues.

Caroline and Scott’s wedding was last summer at Southall Eden. We were thrilled to photograph their wedding. It was the perfect combination for us – a military couple having an intimate outdoor wedding. Sigh!

CJ Dickson of Williamson County Weddings and Events planned and designed their gorgeous outdoor event, and Caroline would tell you that it wouldn’t have been so amazing (and stress-free for Caroline) without CJ!

The beautiful floral design was by The Enchanted Florist.

Scott and Caroline had delicious cupcakes from The Sweetest Batch Cupcakery; and Caroline’s sister made the cupcake toppers!

Caroline and Scott made favors – mason jars filled with ingredients to make chocolate chip blondies. We even got one and made it the next week – it was ahfreakingmazing!

Guests enjoyed cokes from glass bottles and lemonade in mason jars (with eco-friendly straws).

Caroline’s sister/matron of honor gave a speech and made us all teary-eyed. Scott’s brother/best man also said a few words. These speeches reinforced what we already knew – Caroline and Scott are perfect for each other, and they’re both amazing people who do all they can to help others.

I love that the (delicious) food by A Catered Affair was served family style. The food they prepare is always pretty and so yummy!

After dinner, chocolate chip cookies were added to the cupcake table.

I love the ambiance the strings of lights gave the barn.

Caroline and Scott, we wish you all the best in the future. We’re so blessed to have met you, and to now call you our friends!

We drove out to Bells, Tennessee to photograph Heather’s bridal session this past summer. Now that Heather and David are married (we posted a few pictures from their backyard wedding a few days ago, and their engagement pictures last summer), we can finally show off some of her amazing pictures!

Sigh. I love this last picture of Heather so much. Such a gorgeous bride, inside and out!!

The instant we met Caroline and Scott we knew it was fate – they’re awesome, and we would be photographing their wedding. We also have soft spots for military couples, who give up so much for our country.

It was an intimate summer evening wedding at Southall Eden, and we had such a great time photographing them and their families. It was also on a Tuesday, which was a new wedding day for us, and we loved it. Also, Planning & Design by CJ Dickson for Williamson County Weddings & Events. And the wonderful Amy Lynn Larwig was Caroline’s (and her sister/matron of honor’s) makeup artist.

Caroline and Scott, thank you thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day. We are so happy for you, and we’re excited to continue our friendship for many years!

Okay, if you haven’t seen the other two blog posts from Melanie and Jeremy’s morning wedding we photographed last summer, you should check them out. Part 1. Part 2.

Now on to showing off their beautiful morning garden wedding reception at CJ’s Off the Square in downtown Franklin, Tennessee. And, oh CJ’s, how we love thee. It was the perfect choice for Melanie & Jeremy. Intimate, quiet in the mornings, and in a beautiful and quaint historic home in downtown Franklin. And with the CJ’s team in charge, Melanie and Jeremy didn’t have to worry about a thing!

Melanie and Jeremy rode from their wedding ceremony at Owen Chapel to their reception at CJ’s Off the Square in style in a 1939 Packard, which has been making the rounds as the couples’ getaway car for a handful of our weddings.

Melanie and Jeremy, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day. We’ve enjoyed getting to know you and are excited to see your love for one another grow stronger every year!

Yes, it’s another CJ’s Off the Square wedding from last summer! Seriously, we absolutely love everyone at CJ’s. Our CJ’s brides are always so calm and can relax and just enjoy their wedding day. And we were able to relax during this wedding day as well, because we had the talented photographer Don Yeager assisting us. His images are mixed in with these posts since I did a horrible job of keeping track of which images are ours and which are his. I’m pretty sure his images are mostly the reception details, but don’t quote me on that.

Melanie and Jeremy wed on a gorgeous, if warm, September morning. Yes, that’s right, morning. Not only that, but they had their ceremony at the quaint, beautiful Owen Chapel. Owen Chapel is where Chris and I also happened to have our morning ceremony (although ours was much different since our wedding was in December). I can’t think of much to say about morning ceremonies other than we absolutely love them! So many weddings are in the evening and it’s easy to have a lot of the same types of food and atmosphere. But to us, morning weddings are just so… unique and memorable.

They had a fun, funky color pallete of pink hues and black and white. The ring tied to Melanie’s bouquet (amazing, as always, florals by the talented Caprice at The Enchanted Florist) was her father’s wedding ring. He’d passed away and this was a great way to remember him throughout the day. Melaine’s gorgeous gown was from Sugar Drop in downtown Brentwood.

I’m finally showing off the reception of Matt and Whitney’s wedding. We photographed the Ball’s wedding at CJ’s Off the Square in downtown Franklin, Tennessee last summer, and it was a gorgeous garden wedding.

If you haven’t checked out the first two posts from their wedding, Part 1 was their portraits and Part 2 was their wedding ceremony.

And now, on to the good stuff (the photos, that is).

This first dance picture is a great one to show not only the love between Matt and Whitney, but the love of their families – Whitney’s mom is in the background in the red dress. And she was all smiles all day long. Well, when she wasn’t happy-crying, that is.

Thank you, Matt and Whitney, for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day. We love you, and had a fantastic time with you. We wish you all the best!

And I’ve also decided that I should include some photos of us from Matt and Whitney’s wedding (and one of Amy). And yes, we’re always like this on wedding days.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Matt and Whitney on the blog, but we’re finally showing off their ceremony. If you missed the getting ready and portraits of the day, go check out their first post here. We photographed Matt and Whitney’s beautiful wedding a CJ’s Off the Square last August. And the weather was pretty, well, Tennessee summery. Nice and warm. But, as you can see, Matt and Whitney were troopers, still had a fantastic day, and their wedding was an amazing reflection of their love and commitment to each other.

We photographed Matt and Whitney’s wedding at CJ’s Off the Square in downtown Franklin, Tennessee last August. And we had a blast. Because Matt and Whitney are awesome. They’re fun, hilarious, and so in love. Plus their bridal party was equally as awesome. So today we start off checking out them getting ready, and portraits of both Matt and Whitney, and their bridal party.

Whitney’s stunning gown was from The White Room in Lebanon.

I was so excited when Whitney told us what her wedding vision was, and these colors and dresses are perfect. A touch of both fun and trendy work perfectly for their wedding day.

Aren’t Matt’s cufflinks awesome!? They were a great wedding day gift from Whitney. And seriously, Caprice at The Enchanted Florist outdid herself with Matt’s boutonniere (and all the other floral details that day). I love it!

We adore Haylie and Devin. The end. They’re hilarious, madly in love, and pretty good looking too. We were so excited to photograph Haylie and Devin’s wedding last summer in Nashville. After our first mutual Harry Potter reference when we first met with Haylie and her mom, we knew we’d be a perfect match. Devin was coming home from Afghanistan shortly before their wedding, and Chris and I were crossing our fingers and saying our prayers that his homecoming date wouldn’t move past their wedding date. Thankfully, for everyone involved, Devin came home right on schedule, and Haylie and Devin were married on a gorgeous, if hot, Tennessee July afternoon at Glencliff Presbyterian Church in Nashville.

The tiffany blue and red details, including flowers by The Flower Pot, brought everything together as young, fun, and with a touch of class. And I love Haylie’s Marine Corps garter!

All of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were a blast to hang out with. We just love having fun bridal parties, and Haylie and Devin’s was right up there at the top of the fun list.

Seriously, Haylie? Sexy!

Speaking of sexy… Haylie, look at your man! Good job, girl! But really, Devin’s not just good looking. He’s fun to be around and has a ridiculously fun sense of humor.

Holley and Caleb’s summer wedding in Hendersonville, Tennessee was such a blast for us to photograph. If you haven’t checked out the other posts from their wedding, you should. Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 were such fun blog post recaps. And now, on to the photo booth pictures.

They broke out hats, giant glasses, nose glasses (I’m pretty sure that’s not what they’re really called), and other props for their photo booth. And you might be seeing more of the girl in pink and the guy in yellow in the middle. We’re excited to photograph Madelynne and Corey’s engagement session in a few weeks!

There was always fun when Holley’s awesome bridesmaids were around!

You know it’s getting out of control when men start wearing their ties on their heads at wedding receptions.

Yes, we did make an appearance in Holley and Caleb’s photo booth. Who could resist a fun photo booth, really? And you have to love when non-photo booth props end up being photo booth props, like their “I DO” letters.

Holley and Caleb, we love you guys, and we had a blast photographing your wedding. We wish you many years of happiness together!
