Senior Photo time has begun. I met Abigail in Estes Park while she was visiting her grandparents for a senior photography session in the beautiful Colorado mountains. I loved how beautiful these photos are but I have to give credit to Abigail for being a beautiful model. Seniors are so much fun to photograph. I always think about the changes that await them in the next year as they start their adult live. It is a scary time but exciting too.
Abigail, I wish all of your dreams come true.

Hannah’s senior portrait session started with a gorgeous makeup application by Kim Jacobson – she’s amazing!! She does hair and makeup on site or at Calista downtown Eau Claire (715-828-7801) – Hannah had already had her hair done prior to the shoot and it was beautiful! Also showing up with Hannah was a couple of her besties and her mother, she had a whole crowd watching and cheering her on
It was a lot of fun! Here are some of my favorites:

I LOVE these shots! These need to be HUGE wall canvas prints

I’m looking for outgoing Class of 2011 high school seniors in Orange, Dutchess, Rockland and Ulster counties to be my models, my representatives to spread the word about awesome Hudson Valley senior photos and where to get them! You get 2 free senior sessions (two seasons - you pick) and the chance to earn free products just by referring your friends! For each friend you refer that books a paid senior photo session with me, you receive a $25 credit toward any product you want! With each of your sessions you will also receive 50 “rep cards” with your favorite image from that session on one side and a discount for your friends on the other.

Sessions are fun and relaxed - no boring studio here! No creepy old guy telling you to blow a kiss at the camera or gently place your hand under your chin and tilt your head to the left. These are not your typical senior portraits - these are all about YOU! We’ll go to a few different spots and explore - bring a bunch of outfits so we can get a good mix of looks and attitudes.

Not just anyone gets to be a senior rep - you must be outgoing and like having your photo taken. I will only accept a very limited number of seniors from each school so if this sounds like you, contact me today before the spots at your school are full! Just send me an e-mail at info@autumn-photography.com or a facebook message - send me your name, age, high school, city, contact info, a recent photo of you and why you think you’d make a good senior rep! If I think you might make a good senior rep I’ll contact you with a few additional questions and give you more details. =)

Greta is just one of those people that are so easy to photograph, it just comes naturally to her. She wanted something very organic and ‘outdoorsy’ and I knew the perfect location for what we were looking for. Benson has some great locations, and every time I go I always find something new, and always drive by something that someday I’ll try in the future. We got lucky this time with some AWESOME locations and the most beautiful weather and light imaginable. Thanks for a great time Greta!

When I was 10 my third little brother was born. It was interesting to be an older kid when Sam was born because I felt like more of a parent at times than a sister. I changed diapers and took care of Sam trying to be a great big sister. It is so weird to think that Sam is now 18 years old. I'm so proud of him. He plays bass, is an extremely loyal friend and a talented artist and gamer. He is such a smart kid and I'm so excited to see where he goes in life with all of his various talents.
Sam asked me to come shoot some quick portraits of him and his friends in honor of their graduation. That same week I also had the pleasure of visiting Sam at my old stomping grounds, Diamond Bar High School, to see him perform in Battle of the Bands.
I've taken photos of Sam and his bands in years prior and I have to say this year was SO awesome! They covered one of my favorite Thrice songs and the boys rocked and screamed with all their heart. I'm a sucker for passionate performances.
Bottom line: I'm crazy about my little brothers and I feel so blessed to have been even a small part of their life story. I share experiences with them from childhood that I will NEVER forget and I wouldn't trade that for the world. I love Sam and I can't wait to see him graduate in a few weeks!!! Enjoy the photos :)
