When people come to the South, nothing warms hearts more than the comfort of Southern hospitality. We first met Anna and Wright for their engagement session last fall and instantly fell in love with their sweet, graceful, soft spoken and southern personalities! Not only did we become close with the couple, but we also fell in love with Miss Paula {Anna’s Momma} and Aunt Joan {Anna’s Aunt}. It was truly a family affair from the get go!
Being such a close knit family, Anna and Wright’s wedding was laced with family heirlooms and treasures!! Here’s the list:
Aunt Joan, who’s been a coordinator for years, coordinated the entire wedding flawlessly!
Anna’s veil was a Mantilla silk illusion veil trimmed in Belgium re-embroidered Alencon lace that was her Aunt Joan’s
The monogrammed heirloom linens used on the Altar table belonged to Anna’s Grandmother
Anna and Wright’s get away was in a 1930 Model A Ford Woody Wagon, restored and owned by Anna’s Uncle Bill
The hand painted pillows used on the garden benches of the Eastern Green were handpainted by friend & artist Leanne Peek of Albany, Georgia
The silver tray used to hold the wedding favors, Sweet T’s (teacakes!), was a wedding gift to the bride and groom by Wright’s Mother. It had belonged to the his Great Grandmother. Not to mention the teacake recipe is Aunt Joan’s family’s recipe!
Everything from that day was absolutely, positively, breathtakingly perfect! Not to mention the band, Az Izz, was hands down UH-MAZING and even taught everyone how to douggie! Totally recommend!! Not to mention the evening ended with a catch…Anna’s sister caught the bouquet!
Now we can’t wait for Carrie’s wedding! Their Southern hospitality just sucked us right in like puckered lips on a lemon…we might as well just be one big happy family!

{anna and wright saw each other before the ceremony…so him peeking around the corner at his bride-to-be was totally acceptable! No bad juju here!}
Now that you’ve all seen the pictures, it can’t just stop here….your day won’t be complete without seeing the teaser that their videographers, The Reason, posted…hands down, another “take your breath away moment”!! HUGE props to Chris and Hector!!

The older you get, the more of a right you have to act immature, silly, and down right wacky {in the right environment}; well- maybe that’s how I justify my behavior as of late:) On Monday I turned 30…still far from my expiration date but a milestone to say the least! Do you ever get the crazy urge to just do something, and when I mean something I mean like jump into your child’s bubble bath with all of your clothes on and start a water fight? Spontaneously jump over the counter during a conversation with your husband? Maybe play late night pranks on your neighbors {that happen to be your co-workers}? Well I do! So, to combat aging, I believe spontaneous acts of loony behavior are a must!
Speaking of loony, we had Will and Kate’s wedding a few weeks back! Kate’s maiden name is “Looney” and even through she’s now a “Walters”- there’s no doubt that her fun loving, “Looney” spirit won’t be lost!
After their engagement session we counted down the days {which took up a lot of fingers and toes} ’til their wedding because we knew it was going to be 100% bliss, and it didn’t disappoint!
One of our favortie parts:
The duo adores the “Avett Brothers”, so as a surprise for Will, Kate decided to talk to his friends about them singing “January Wedding” at the reception. Little did she know, Will had the same idea- except he was going to sing it with his friends to Kate! The look on her face was priceless as Will took the stage!

When you were little did you ever play telephone? Maybe it’s because we’re girls- or it’s just one of those sparkling {my husband might disagree} personality traits…but we have a gift for gab. At this point in our lives we’re logged more chatting hours than a operator at a BP-complaint center!
Anyhow- we love to talk and find the old game of telephone quite endearing…hence the use of it during Kate and Will’s engagment session!! The duo humored us as we knocked around 30-A one evening. From bike riding to flower filled piggy back rides- it was refreshing!! Their Rosemary Beach wedding is just around the corner and we can’t wait for round two in September!

When I say I’m rather backed up in the blogging department, I’m not exaggerating! And I’m sure if anyone notices…it’s our brides who are waiting patiently! This week, I’m sending myself off to the blogging cave!
Here in Florida, the weather is absolutely unpredictable! Almost all our couples have witnessed this is some form I’m sure, but I think Amber and Frank were handed the largest dose of weather unpredictability to date! We had an absolute blast working with It’s A Shore Thing at Rosemary Beach and were kept on our toes to say the least with Mother Nature’s ploys. Mid-way through the night, the venue had to be changed due to horrible storms…and lets just say somehow, the VUE chicks ended up transporting the cupcakes made by Confections on the Coast! Coincidence…I think not!
A few weeks ago, our hearts broke at the news of Amber’s father passing shortly after her wedding. We received a call from her today asking if we could send her a few images for his funeral this week. As heart breaking as it is to lose a loved one, it made Genya and I realize once again why we love what we do…..we were able to give Amber and her family images that they will treasure forever of her father on that special day! Regardless of the crazy weather, Amber and Frank’s wedding was truly beautiful and memorable!

Emily absolutely blew us away with her incredible craftiness and precious personality!! From first glance, we were in love with the details of Emily and Ben’s wedding! Look out Martha Stewart! Emily made everything from her rosette and broach belt to the old blue shingle wedding signs. We just had to share!
Wedding up on deck next for the blog…Amber and Frank’s Rosemary Beach wedding {with Asheley and Greg to follow}!! It’s May…what can I say!
