They 49ers were 6-10 last season, headed nowhere, and had fired their head coach Mike Singletary. One of the biggest turnarounds in NFL history started in January of 2011 when the San Francisco 49ers hired Jim Harbaugh. The team completed a 13-3 regular season, and defeated the New Orleans Saints in the Divisional round of the playoffs. They will host the New York Giants on Sunday January 22nd at Candlestick park to determine the NFC representative in the 2012 Super Bowl played Lucas Oil stadium Indianapolis Indiana on February 5, 2012.

AFC – NFC Championship update: The New England Patriots beat the Baltimore Ravens 23-20 in the AFC Championship game. The New York Giants prevailed over the San Francisco 49ers 20 to 17 in overtime with a 31 yard field goal. The Patriots will face the Giants in Super Bowl XLVI on February 5th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis Indiana.

So, I think I’ve gone over my to-do list the third time now, haha! Our little peanut is supposed to come by the end of the week, and we are soooooo ready! :o) I wish I could count down the days until I finally get to hold our baby in my arms, but then it doesn’t want to tell me when the big day will be here, haha … so mama is waiiting and waiiiiting :o)

My email auto responder is already turned on, and I’m sorry in advance for any delayed emails from my end …. I’m probably cleaning the house and doing laundry …. haha.

I’ll keep you guys posted about our new arrival, and I’m sure there will be an overload of newborn photos once it makes it big entrance ;o)

Hamptons Wedding | Megan & Stephen | Amagansett & Montauk, NY

I’m pretty sure that the Hamptons has a magical effect on just about everyone who visits. From the moment Gerald & I first set eyes upon the easternmost point of Long Island, we began making plans to come back. So it was quite fortuitous that just one year later, we were invited back to photograph Megan and Stephen’s wedding in Montauk & Amagansett, NY.

We couldn’t have been more thrilled to be working with Megan & Stephen – from the outset, they told us that they loved out natural, candid style and wanted us to capture the essence of the Hamptons and what it means to them as a place of inspiration and weekend retreat from their busy Manhattan lives. With this in mind, we began by capturing Megan getting ready at their home, then we headed to the First Presbyterian Church of Amagansett for their ceremony. Afterwards, we headed to one of their favorite places, Atlantic Ave. Beach for their family and couple portraits (which are stunning!), then we all made our way out to the Montauk Yacht Club & Resort for their reception.

The entire weekend was full of fun and laughter (just wait till you see the “napkinheads” and the Tyrone Smith Revue), and family from all over the country came to share in the occasion. Jill Gordon and her team did a wonderful job coordinating Megan & Stephen’s day, and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect celebration for them.

Megan & Stephen, thank you for entrusting us with your memories and for being the kind, generous people that you are. We thoroughly enjoyed working with you and hope to see you the next time we are in the Hamptons. In the meantime, enjoy your photos! Melissa & Mat | Mount Washington Hotel, Bretton Woods, NH

I somehow have a feeling I should start this blog post with “Once upon a time ….” :o) What a fun, fun wedding!!!

Melissa contacted me only a few months ago and asked if I’d consider shooting a wedding in NH, and I have to be honest, …. one usually has to convince me to do a November wedding – you just can’t ever predict the weather and I love taking the posed photos outside. BUT I met Melissa & Mat at their friends wedding that I shot last year, and dear I say …. they are BOTH 2 of the nicest couples I’ve ever met … so … how could one EVER resist + who would ever say no to a backdrop like Mount Washington??? – Right.

Well, I am pretty sure it’s safe to say that EVERYBODY had a blast that weekend, what a goooorgeous day they had! Thank you both SO much for having us photograph your very special day – Darcy and I had an absolute blast and I LOVED seeing all the bridesmaids again – how fun!! And thanks also for being up for taking photos outside … in the cold …. and the super bright sunlight (eeek) … we all know how freezing it was that day, haha! :o) You guys are an awesome couple – I’d make the trip any day to have you in front of my lens again!

I hope you guys had a woooooonderful time on St. John (boy did I envy you!!!!) and I hope you enjoy the little sneak peek before you get to see the rest of the photos hopefully later tonight :o)

My oh my! I know I don’t get to share photos taken in Colorado often enough, so I think this one is a little treatie for all of us :o) I had the HUGE pleasure to photograph 2 super sweet sisters not too long ago. I don’t get to work with kids that age very often and boy would I know for sure that they’re all as easy to photograph, would I not shoot anything but that age :o)) Thank you for being soooo sweet AND patient that day (you guys would NEVER guess how windy it was! New York Engagement Session: Flatiron and the East Village

Love Jaclyn and Bobby! They are such an awesome couple and we had the best time in the East Village doing their Get to Know You session (aka engagement session). Meeting through mutual friends, they are pretty much inseperable. Proclaimed opposites, I think they complement each other really well. Bobby is a good listener, more on the quiet side but I can sense a witty sense of humor under the shy exterior. Plus he loves converse! a boy after my own heart. On the other hand, Jaclyn is outgoing, silly and we could hang out and chat forever.

Jaclyn, Bobby, Gatsby (their dog) and I started in Madison Square Park in the late afternoon. We walked around, parked ourselves on some benches and chatted. Then snagged photos around their neighborhood on our way back to their apartment. As night fell, we grabbed photos on St. Mark’s Place, one of my fave streets in the city. The village sure has changed since I lived there 15 years ago.
