• I love love love when I get past bridesmaids as brides!!! Not only do I get to see old clients again (WOO!) but I also just love it when my clients are already like friends from the get-go. I adored Christina as soon as I met her and at Erin’s wedding she was the dream maid of honor!
• Christina has been a blog stalker so she knew right off the bat she wanted to go to the Canton Garden Center. LOVE blog stalkers! *waves to clients* Seriously. It’s flattering but I love it because you guys then already know what I do and know what you want. Makes my job easy!
• Can we talk a second about how ridiculously adorable these two are? Beyond that, they simply oozed love. I cannot wait until their wedding in June if this is how much love was in the air at the engagement session.
• I am a bit obsessed with Christina’s coat. STUNNING!!! I’m so glad the day was cold because my life was made just a bit sweeter by seeing that coat. LOVE!
• They brought their dog along for some images!! YAY! I also was able to sneak in a few portraits of her while she was out.

One of the things on Christina’s must-have list was an image of them walking together and being cute. They are always some of my favorite images as well!

Just you wait, they will get cuter!

Yep, I went back here again. There’s a reason this place is so popular though, it’s gorgeous no matter what the season is.

I do have to change it up a bit from time to time and I really love this image I got of them on the bridge.

When I saw this image it took my breath away. Hands down my favorite from the session.

This one though is also sigh worthy – see what I mean about them being so darn cute?

I adore her ring!

The way they were holding hands I really loved so I took an image of just their hands and it is my second favorite from the day.

How cute is their dog? Seriously. I love her!!!

I swear that she is laughing at me here. Can dogs laugh??? She’s thinking, crazy photographer you’ll never get an image of me, I’m too quick! Ha! I win!

I made some really bizarre noises that I knew gets dogs attention because my Dad always did it. I used to joke that he was Doctor Dolittle because he had a way with animals. I guess it still works because I got her attention!

- Melissa and Chris are just so darn cute together. It always takes people a few minutes to warm up to the camera but they put each other at ease so quickly that there was barely any warm up time needed. Melissa makes Chris laugh and he makes her smile. Warms my heart!
- This summer has been one of the hottest and most humid I can remember in a long time. While it’s great that I haven’t had many rainy sessions this year it also means that I’ve had a lot of sweaty subjects and let’s face it – it’s hard to be smiling and cheerful in front of the lens when you are dying of heat and have sweat pouring from your body! Luckily for these guys this day was one of the first major breaks in the oppressive humidity and heat and it was a really great day for a shoot – low 80’s, light breeze and puffy clouds!
- They were game for ANYTHING I suggested and never once gave me that “Corey… you are crazy!” look.
- Oh yeah, of all days, their engagement session took place the same day as the Football Hall of Fame game. Which meant that our meeting place was blocked off and we had to switch it up at the last minute. We were able to later walk to the original spot (Canton Garden Center) and saw the reason behind it – all of the busses for the teams were parked there! Kind of neat to see! I got some looks from the roaming security truck but once he figured out I wasn’t paparazzi he went along his merry way.
- Because of the game, we had the Goodyear Blimp circling us during the entire shoot! That’s a new one for me!
- Look for Melissa & Chris to return this November!

The Goodyear Blimp was the costar of the shoot!

My favorite from the session!

Melissa you are adorable!

Melissa specifically wanted this shot and that’s why we ended up where we did for pictures. I know it’s been on here a million times but the light it so magical here! I understand why so many love it!

Melissa and I noticed that our engagement rings are very very similar! Love!

Second favorite. Or most favorite… gah! They are too cute so either way it’s LOVE!

I love, love, love Melissa’s shoes. LOVE!!! How adorable are they!!!!

- I have been friends with Jen since the fourth grade.
- I befriended her when she came to our school because when we would all bring our Barbie stuff to play with at recess, she had the best Barbies and Barbie loot and I needed to be BFFs with her.
- We have remained friends over the years despite her Mom hating me (thanks to a mean teacher that told her I stole Jen’s homework, no joke – and no I didn’t!), one of her boyfriends hating me and her moving to Columbus.
- You may recognize Jen from our trip to the New Kids on the Block concert.
- Right around the time of the concert, she started becoming serious about this guy named Chad. I was leery because she’s had some doozies of boyfriends in the past. However, I already knew even just a month or so in that this guy was different… and I was right.
- They are getting married this September and I GET TO BE A GUEST!
- I cannot tell you how freakin’ excited I am to put the camera down at a wedding and just enjoy the day.
- Of course, I will still HAVE my camera…. but I will be able to DANCE.
- You know how hard it is for me to not shake it to the Cupid Shuffle?
- So back to the couple…
- It was a fun day and I finally got to meet Chad and he’s PERFECT for my friend. PERFECT. It makes my heart happy to know that she found THE one.
- Can’t wait to see you guys in September (and hopefully sooner!). Thanks for a great day!

I know I do this shot a lot but… I LOVE THIS SHOT. So do my couples and they almost always request it when going here. I wish I had an engagement shot like this of me and hubs!

Yay Lilacs!

One of my favorite ring shots, I love peonies.

* I’m happy to be back to bullets for weddings. Makes life easier!
* Michele, Vito and I all have birthdays within days of each other. February babies are the best. Just sayin’.
* I adored the vintage theme and feel to this wedding. If I could ever go back to a certain era it would be the early 1900’s for me. This wedding tickled my vintage fancy.
* Michele may be the most relaxed bride I’ve ever had.
* When I say relaxed, I mean relaxed! When I asked about her flowers (which were gorgeous) she said she just told the florist that she only wanted dark red roses in the bouquets. That’s it. See what I mean? Dream bride!
* The Canton Club just may win for best reception food I’ve ever had. It was divine.
* I love that all the jewelry Michele wore was given to her by Vito.
* Michele’s Mom was the most prepared Mom I’ve ever known. Everything from Static Guard to Scissors was in her purse!

I LOVED Michele’s dress. LOVED. It also fit perfectly with The Canton Club’s decor!

Her shoes were pretty awesome as well!

The final touches… love this moment!

The moment that the bride sees the groom for the first time always gets me!

Isn’t this location gorgeous?

The ring exchange.

The almost kiss… love love love when I can capture this.

Michele’s dress was beautiful BUT the netting overlay kept getting caught on the detailing on the front of the dress. Vito tried to help out in the limo but we ended up having to call in a bridesmaid to help!

You wouldn’t know it (yay for black and white) but it was almost pitch black by this point.

Just a wee bit of light left but my super awesome camera makes it look like it’s daylight. Go Nikon! Oh and these bridesmaids are troopers for going out in the cold for pics! I LOVE the way the bouquets looked against the grey dresses.

Group hug!

I finally got a chance to have another group of groomsman throw snowballs! This hasn’t happend since December 2007! They were also troopers as the snow was COLD. I think they had fun with it though!

Ahhh finally time with the bride and groom… and how cute are they?

I love the way they walked together.

:) :)

While we were gone, they transformed the room from ceremony to reception. Stunning.
Who knew places like this existed in Canton?

Rings!

I loved that even during the Electric Slide (which is currently on a loop in my head!) they held hands.

After a bit of fun during the reception, I snuck the bride and groom away for a few more pictures inside the building. This picture makes me think this is how they cuddle when they are on the couch watching tv as they both are so relaxed and at ease.

Michele, you are a beauty!

Vito, you looked pretty dapper yourself!
Thanks so much for having me along the day of your wedding!!!
