Kim + Kevin’s wedding in McHenry, IL

Kim and Kevin were married in McHenry, IL on June 17th. I was one of their wedding gifts… how cool is that? Here’s the story. A few years ago, I worked as a Chamber of Commerce/Main Street Director in Viroqua, Wisconsin. Kim’s mom, Patty, was one of our volunteers and very active in the community. We struck up a friendship, and when Kim got engaged, Patty called to see if I was available to shoot Kim’s wedding.

Isn’t that bracelet pretty? Patty said that it was made from family diamonds to make a beautiful bracelet for both Kim and her sister to wear when they got married. And since Kim’s sister JUST got engaged (congrats, Michelle!), it will be getting a lot of use in the near future.

Above photo taken by Intern Kate. Below: isn’t this a fun place card for a fishing-themed wedding? They had little buckets with crushed oreos as “dirt”, then gummi worms mixed in. Each table was named after a type of fish.

Angela and Rob tied the knot at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort on August 14th, 2010. I had an amazing time photographing their wedding. We started the day off with getting ready photos, I started with the bride, bridesmaids and the couples beautiful daughter…napping in the above photo, how cute! Christina started with the guys at the hotel, and then it was off to be married. The ceremony was beautiful, and with a bit of humor…then time to Party!! We headed back to the Marriott for some photos of the wedding party before the cerebrating started, and this group was all about the smiles, laughter and good times…not to mention dancing the night away! I had an amazing time at the wedding, thank you Angela and Rob for inviting me to document your amazing celebration! Here are some of my favorite images from the day.

I had an amazing time photographing Markey’s High School Senior Photos at her beautiful family home. Markey is an amazing and fun young women who loves to read and is a fabulous piano player. I had a great time talking and getting to know all about Markey and her plans for college. Even thought the weather wasn’t the best all day, we found some really cool places indoors for photos. It was also great that we were able to use her mother’s studio space ( Gardeenia Floral) for some amazing backgrounds as well. Here are some of my favorites, Congratulations on Graduation Markey!! Best wishes for College this fall!!

Tara, Rich and I had some fun creating engagement pictures at Phillipe Park in Safety Harbor. These two are a lot of fun to be around so I expect this to be one fun wedding later in December.
