While the anticipation was running high for Iris + Nick’s wedding day, neither of them felt under pressure at all from the normal stresses of a wedding day. Iris and her girls were each very excited to spend the morning getting hair and makeup done. Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony at the beautiful Glen Island Harbour Club, with its breathtaking view of the harbor. Guests had come from far and wide, even as far away as China! Following a party that kept the party crowd on the dance floor, we enjoyed some time with Iris + Nick alone by the water for some of the most romantic portraits of the day. We’re so glad to have been able to spend time with this awesome couple again!

Victoria + John’s wedding day finally arrived! You couldn’t have asked for a more excited household than hers as everyone helped her prepare for this most important of all days! Once her gorgeous gown and accessories were on, there was a collective “ohhhh” as everyone took in just how stunning she looked. Meanwhile, John was just as excited and ready to officially take their relationship to the next level, with his best man by his side keeping him laughing and as relaxed as possible. Next thing you know, it was time to get married! The day literally flew by, with all of their friends and family eager to celebrate and dance the night away with this awesome couple. We also enjoyed seeing a number of familiar faces there, Nikki + Jared being among them (in fact, they referred Victoria + John to us). It was a truly joyous day to be a part of, and for so many reasons!

The skies were clear, the red carpet was out, and Ulysses Photography was there to photograph the festive occasion of Westchester Magazine’s annual Best of Westchester Party for 2011! This signature event is the one that’s waited for by residents and business owners alike. The beautiful Glen Island Harbour Club was packed with over 3,000 excited guests. Everyone was fashionably decked out for the ultimate party. If they weren’t sampling the food, drink, music & entertainment, hair & makeup demos, massages, or other area specialities, then they were lounging on the couches outdoors or otherwise enjoying the beautifully grand views of the harbor. With over 100 of the very best boutiques, shops, and services on offer (including Ulysses Photography as one of the select sponsors) this was a premium event not to be missed! If you didn’t get to make it this year, then start planning now to attend in 2012!
Victoria & John mentioned to us from the get-go that they love taking photos. They really weren’t kidding! We had a complete blast with them as we explored the grounds of their former college in upstate NY. Although quite windy and chilly, this awesome duo braved the elements and pulled out all the stops for us during their fashionably fun photo session. With plenty of accessories and changes of clothing to add variety to the session, this engaging couple had nothing at all to worry about as John held Victoria close. They came strongly recommended to us by another marvelous couple, Nikki & Jared, their close friends whose wedding we are also photographing in 2011. So it’s going to be a banner year for this close set of friends, as well as for us! We can’t wait to join Victoria & John at the Glen Island Harbour Club for their summer extravaganza.

Westchester Magazine has done it again! Hosting their annual Best of Westchester Party at the beautiful Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, NY, all VIP and invited guests were given real red carpet treatment into this extravaganza. This premiere event is always the perfect opportunity for a variety of vendors to show off the very best that Westchester County has to offer in the most delicious dining destinations, sensational stores, amazing after-hours entertainment, uncontested culture, superlative shops and services, and stunning spas. If you want to sample all that Westchester has to offer by way of restaurants, shops, drinks, cultural institutions, service providers, kid wranglers, and more, then this is absolutely THE party you need to attend to discover everything that makes Westchester County the exciting, vibrant place that it is. It’s always a pleasure to be the magazine’s Go-To photographers for events like this. Seeing faces of celebrities (got to talk briefly with Alan Kalter, the announcer for Late Show with David Letterman) , reacquainting with friends both old and new, and rubbing shoulders with familiar colleagues is one of the things we most look forward to doing each summer. It’s an New York event like no other!
