Got a few rolls back from Richard Photo today, and couldn’t help but post a few I shot during Ruth and Greg’s session down in Tampa a few weeks back. (These were shot on the Contax 645 with Kodak 400NC film.)

So, this one time, Kim & Sebastian took us to dinner in South Norwalk (where Sebastian proposed). Sebastian ordered 1 order of dumplings, half steamed, half fried. Simple, right? Wrong.
Instead the waitress brought us 4 orders of fried dumplings and 4 orders of steamed dumplings…you got it 64 dumplings for one table. We laughed really hard, then had to take a picture.

It also seemed fitting to put the ring on a dumpling, by the way…the fried ones were way better than the steamed ones.

Silly me. Did I mention that we shooting Kim & Sebastian’s wedding in Turks and Caicos next week?
Can’t wait guys, hope you enjoy your images, we had a great night with you guys!

1 Rachel + 1 Dave = 2 adorable and fun people in love. I loved photographing these two love birds for their engagement session in West Hartford and Farmington, CT. Rachel told me a while back that she wanted to do something fun for her Eshoot and originally it was going to be in the fall. However, hectic day to day stuff (Dave and Rachel are both going to school), kept their schedules filled, so time wasn’t allowing for something fally. Winter isn’t to be forgotten and this shoot especially won’t be forgotten by me, since I froze my batookis off. I think the high temp for the day was about 19 degrees. It was winter indeed. Not to mention we shot on ice. Real ice. Like out on a frozen pond. ;o) Not too worry, the ice was pretty thick since it was so darn cold out. The dip in temperature was a constant reminder to me that is pretty positive we wouldn’t fall through the ice! Of course, being a photographer and all, working on an icey pond with thousands of dollars invested in the palm of my hand, I had visions of how if I fell through I would hold my camera up out the water and hand it off before I sunk to the bottom. Terrible to think that way, but I am being quite honest with you. I think of these things!
So I spent a great deal of time with Rachel and Dave and I enjoyed myself fully with the two of them! We had a quite the adventure! Shooting in Farmington’s Winding Trails, and then West Hartford downtown area!
Enjoy…
phew…
Smootchin’ to warm things up a bit! ;o)
We had this part of the pond to ourselves mainly…not too many up for skating in bitter nose-nipping cold weather!
Rachel is so pretty…
brrrrrrrrrrr…but the wind was so cool for the shot!
Dave is so handsome. Modelesque!
Love this moment…
We stopped by a Starbuck’s in West Hartford to grab some coffee and warm up a bit…I love using available lighting…this was in hall way to the bathrooms. Who knew hanging out by the John could be so fun!
As we were walking to Starbuck’s Rachel told me she bought her dress at Camille Bridal Couture . Not a second later did I start thinking up a photo shoot inside with her and all the dresses! ”What is one soon to be bride to do with so many dresses to choose from??!!!”
So after our coffee break we walked across the street and peeked in to see if they would be so kind to allow me to photograph Rachel in the back with all the dresses. A few minutes later and a phone call and we were good to go! The ladies in Camille’s were so accommodating and helpful! It is quite the cute little boutique!
Rachel wanted a ring shot with some lace…
Our last stop on the list was Crate and Barrel, where they are registered (hint hint hint), and where life seems so perfect when inside! I love it there! So much fun!
Thanks Rachel and Dave! It was great getting to know you and spending all that time with you!
Happy Friday all!
Off to prepare for my first wedding of the year this weekend!

So I headed out to Botanical Gardens yesterday to meet Amanda and Nathan, and ran smack-dab into one of the most gorgeous afternoon I’ve seen in a long time. These two make a ridiculously cool and stylish couple, and take a darn good picture to boot. Plus, they were kind enough to laugh at my jokes. And for those of you who know me, that’s hard to do sometimes.
Needless to say, I’m loving the shots we took … and here’s a few early favorites …
