Regina & John’s Colorado Engagement Session

Regina and John decided that Colorado would be the perfect place to have their engagement portraits done, despite the fact that they will be getting married next summer on Coronado Island outside of San Diego. These two were hoping for snow, and lots of it. We didn’t have a lot, but we did have a little bit to work with…and they had a great time playing around in it (while freezing their hands off!).

Regina and John are two amazing people. Regina is a preschool teacher for special needs children (and happens to be my awesome cousin too) and John is a kindergarten teacher. You can imagine that they are full of fun and have lots of energy. They were troopers in the cold Colorado weather – it wasn’t their typical San Diego sunny and 70 degrees. I had the best time with you two!

I can’t wait to photograph your wedding on Coronado Island next summer! Stay warm until then!

BEBE AND DAGOGO IYA TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE: SNEAK PEAK – NIGERIA

Today was the first of several wedding ceremonies we are photographing for Bebe and Dagogo in Nigeria, Africa. This was called the Iya Traditional Marriage and involved Dagogo and his family traveling to Bebe's village to receive approval from the village Chief. We had such an amazing experience immersing ourselves in the local culture and everyone was so welcoming and kind ... there are really no words for an experience like this :-)! Simply beautiful! Much more to come on this ceremony and the wedding as a whole!

I am incredibly honored to be featured on the Style Me Pretty Destination Wedding Blog! Lillee & Shawn’s Wedding at the Newagen Inn in Southport Maine was a true feast for the senses. I loved this Indian inspired coastal Maine wedding, and I can see why SMP loved it too!

KEARY AND JESSE – TRASH THE DRESS SESSION, ANTELOPE CANYON, AZ

The day after their elopement, Keary and Jesse headed back out into the great unknown to do their Trash the Dress shoot. We first went to Antelope Canyon, which is spectacular beyond words. It's landscape of deep red carved walls are the definition of art in nature. We were so glad they were up for this suggestion. Not only have we always wanted to do a trash the dress shoot in Antelope Canyon, but it provided Keary and Jesse with truly unique wedding photographs that very few people can say they have. From there we headed out to Horseshoe Bend and finished in the water at Lake Powell. Simply a magical day :-)!

KEARY AND JESSE WEDDING – LAKE POWELL, AZ

I just got done editing these photos and had to do a posting for these two - after all Keary is a self-admitted blog stalker, so how could I deny her seeing her own wedding on here :-). Keary and Jesse eloped back in September at the Coves at Lake Powell, Arizona. These two came all the way from Massachusetts to the wide open spaces of the west to get married and it was a very long road for them to get here - in every sense of the word. We couldn't be more happy that they finally traveled that road and that they allowed us to be a part of it! Keary and Jesse, it was so wonderful spending those two warm late-September days getting to know you both. We had a wonderful time and wish you both a lifetime of happiness!!

Kristine + Eugene :: Langham Hotel, Pasadena

I felt very privileged to be at Kristine and Eugene's fabulous wedding at the grand historic Langham Hotel in Pasadena. It was a very beautiful and emotional celebration of two of the most kind-hearted, genuine, and loving people that I have had the pleasure to come across. The abundant details throughout the day were in tuned with their cute and quirky personalities. At one point during the reception, Kristine made another grand entrance with a new red dress and they both proceed into a choreographed dance to a Jay Chow's song. Thank you and wish you both a lifetime happiness.

I also like to thank Charlene Chan for doing an amazing job with the coordination and Alex Thamrin for being my second shooter.

Goodness!! I’ve been waiting all year for this wedding. My sweet cousin, Brittany & her hubby, Rene’ said their I DO’s this past Saturday in front of all of our family & friends. I wouldn’t have missed this wedding for anything, and I wanted to make sure she was well taken care of from a photography standpoint. I feel so blessed to have shared in this day with Britt & Ne’. ELIZABETH AND DANIEL (LIZ AND DANNY) – TRASH THE DRESS SESSION, ROME, ITALY

The day after Liz and Danny's wedding, we headed back out into the streets of Rome to photograph their trash the dress session, We went to many of the historic sights, including the Colosseum, the Ancient City and the Spanish Steps and we finished up with a nice lunch, Italy-style - yum :-)!!
