I have been looking forward to Lauren and Rian’s wedding for well over a year now, since the early early planning stages. From the very first phone call talking to Lauren I knew that it was a perfect fit, and working with these two has been an absolute dream every step of the way. They are wonderful people – so fun and sweet and easy going. I love how Lauren wrinkles her nose and how they make each other laugh. And I love how they completely adore each other. A few favorites..
sweet moment exchanged between Lauren and her mom as they walk down the aisle during the ceremony
everything about this wedding was stunning, starting with the incredible custom invitation and paper products created by Julie at JS Design Custom. Julie is an artiste extraordinaire and I am perpetually in awe of her talent and creativity
gorgeous Colorado rustic barn wedding details.. the ever-talented Alicia with Bella Fiori did an incredible job with all the floral from the bridal bouquets and boutonnieres to the milk glass centerpieces and burlap runners
and because I can’t help myself, a few more delicious details :) Here the scrumptious dessert table set inside the barn created by Erika at Living the Sweet Life

I knew from the very first conversation with Mary and Kevin that I wanted to work with them. We clicked. Immediately. This is such an important element when hiring a photographer for your wedding: to find a photographer who you feel completely comfortable with, someone who you feel you mesh with in terms of style and personality. We had so much fun during their engagement session in Wash Park..
love this shot of the two of them with their two dogs, Bella and Chuck

Thank you, Mary & Kevin, for hiring me, and congratulations on your engagement! I’m so thrilled to be working with you and can’t wait for your wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield next summer, 2011!

While Jacy and Todd are luxuriating on a honeymoon to the white sandy beaches of Bora Bora (courtesy of Ellen!), I thought I’d post a few more images from their fabulous Colorado wedding. It was ah-mazing! (I know I say that about pretty much every wedding, but that’s only because it’s true :)
When I first spoke with Jacy she mentioned how important it was that their wedding be truly representative of them – she described it as wanting a simple country wedding – rustic and down-home, fun and relaxed, and authentic. And it was – everything from the quintessential Colorado backdrop at the Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, to the cowboy boots & cowboy hats, to the burlap incorporated in the beautiful floral bridal bouquets. The centerpieces were comprised various pieces of bee-keeping memorabilia (Jacy’s family represents four generations of bee-keeping tradition in Colorado (check out Beeyond the Hive), and Jacy & Todd even did a unity pouring of honey during the ceremony. It was perfect. Here are a few favorites..
