Who doesn’t love a little glitz and glam(…well perhaps aside from the majority of the male population)?!!  For those who do, Ashley and Alex’s wedding truly satisfied!  The fun little details had us captivated…from the pink birdcage veil, pink diamond ring, the broach and rosette bouquets, the thumb prints of guests, the photobooth with family photo heirlooms, the hilariously entertaining couple’s dance, to even the details on the cake and topper (seriously look at this cake….everything on the cake resembles the wedding day!)…..it was all amazing!!  Shelby Peaden and her team were beyond fantastic!  Most fun of all…Ashley and Alex’s exuberant and lively personalities!!  We seriously went home that evening with smiles on our faces!!

If my little boy, Brayden {Genya’s little girl Mia, like to tell everyone “his name is baby B, but we call him Brayden sometimes}, had been at Betsy and Justin’s Carillon Wedding…there is no doubt he would have gone nuts!  Bubbles, paint, shakers, and glow rings are a sure way to captive any child…..and a quick way to get a party started with adults!  As the guests arrived, they were greeted with a giant canvas, paint, and brushes…all for them to leave their mark which would later be hung in Betsy and Justin’s home!!  With The Fabulous Expressions keepin’ everyone’s feet on the dance floor, the couple made sure the guests kept their hands full of music shakers and glow rings!  No sparklers or flower petals for this couple…it was bubbles galore!  Yes, I’m confident little B would have had mini heart attached from all the excitement!

With all the bright, and cheery decor from Events by Nouveau Flowers, tasty meringue cake by Confections on the Coast, tasty ethnic food stations by Townsend Catering, and giggling banter with the couple, made for a wonderful night!

….Oh and the fact that my dress ripped clear up the back side also kept things a little interesting….thank goodness for leggings and my shootsac!

When I say I’m rather backed up in the blogging department, I’m not exaggerating!  And I’m sure if anyone notices…it’s our brides who are waiting patiently!  This week, I’m sending myself off to the blogging cave!

Here in Florida, the weather is absolutely unpredictable!  Almost all our couples have witnessed this is some form I’m sure, but I think Amber and Frank were handed the largest dose of weather unpredictability to date!  We had an absolute blast working with It’s A Shore Thing at Rosemary Beach and were kept on our toes to say the least with Mother Nature’s ploys.  Mid-way through the night, the venue had to be changed due to horrible storms…and lets just say somehow, the VUE chicks ended up transporting the cupcakes made by Confections on the Coast!  Coincidence…I think not!

A few weeks ago, our hearts broke at the news of Amber’s father passing shortly after her wedding.  We received a call from her today asking if we could send her a few images for his funeral this week.  As heart breaking as it is to lose a loved one, it made Genya and I realize once again why we love what we do…..we were able to give Amber and her family images that they will treasure forever of her father on that special day!  Regardless of the crazy weather, Amber and Frank’s wedding was truly beautiful and memorable!

It’s A Shore Thing…always making sure everything is covered!!!

Things have been rather crazy around the studio as Genya’s computer finally took it’s last breath. We, the VUE chicks have officially become “Mac Mommas.”  Yes, it is true…no longer can we be mocked for our oversize PC monitors!  To say the least, switching from PCs to iMacs has been quite a task!

Amidst weddings season, crashing computers and well…life….VUE is in the process of rolling out a brand spanking new website that Spilled Milk Designs has been designing…..and they are totally rocking it!!  We seriously can’t wait for the big reveal!!!  While pulling magazine features, we realized we accidentally missed something very important!!!!!  Last year Natalie and Kevin were featured in Emerald Coast Bride’s Magazine!!!!  Hard to believe they have almost been married a year!  For those who may be noobies to the VUE blog and those who would like to jog their memories, peek back over to Natalie + Kevin’s LOVELY Carillon Wedding!

So I  promised I would put my best foot forward in coming up with an equation for one swell couple!  I don’t know what I was thinking in trying to come up with something like that…I attempted, but fail miserably.  Really…who was I kidding!?  So being the over ambitious person I am, I set forth to attempt my next weakest talent….a recipe.  Don’t laugh…or judge.  I’m being transparent in admitting my weaknesses…and yes my husband will be the first to admit, cooking is not one of my strengths.  I’m probably not THAT bad….that is if I actually pulled out a pan every now and then!

So here you go….VUE’s little own recipe of a lovely couple:

{2} Big Hearts

{1} powerful Potion of Love

{1} little inklings of an inner GQ & Vouge wannabe

{5} packs of nuzzling

{4.5} pinches of Mischievousness

{6} Heaping  doses of Carefree Laughter

{4} Dashes of Spontaneity

{1} splash of love for 80’s rock

Jaime and John were shinning examples and we adored them dearly!!!  Their Carillon Wedding {by Victoria} was yet another wedding of perfection with the fabulous Confections on the Coast,  Event by Nouveau, Townsend Catering, and Gulf Talent Services.

There is a reason Genya and I are artists.  Math and English were not our strongest subjects in school.  {Actually, they were my strongest subjects in school….And yes, I know you think I’m trying to pull the wool over your eyes, but it’s the truth.  However all those years of education went down the tubes with the arrival of my little one.  Seriously.}  If we could come up with with an algebraic equation for a swell client match…Jaime and John would be apart of it.  They honestly kept us in smiles all day!   So for right now, this is as good of an equation this momma can come up with:

jaime + john = genya + wesleyann

Since I have a bit more time, I’ll come up with a better on for their full post!  Maybe I’ll go the easier route and come up with a recipe.  {That’s probably no good either…I can’t cook!}

and so I digress….

Very rarely do we have the opportunity to shoot local weddings.  When we do, we love it because most likely we will see many familiar faces {we live in a very small town.  For example, the local downtown cop stops in for daily chit chat sessions!}.  Allison and Hunter’s wedding was one we were looking forward to  for this reason, but also because we had heard so many wonderful things about all the big day details! Not having met Allison or Hunter until their wedding day, as soon as we walked through the door, their sweet and welcoming personalities made us feel like we were one of the group!  Genya and I hit it off with the couple and enjoyed each moment!  Getting to know the couple, their families and friends helped in the long run as my ring was returned after being found is Allison’s pants.  It’s a long story….but nothing out of the ordinary {our lives are always being entertained with ridiculous, humorous scenarios}.  {short story…..the ring was too big for my finger and flew off and across the room into Allison’s jeans while she was getting in her dress}.

Never a dull moment around the VUE chicks!!  If TLC is looking for a new reality show, I’m thinking we could possibly be what they’re looking for!!
