Congrats Class of 2012! It’s that time of year for senior portraits – and I love it! I recently had the pleasure of photographing Nevada’s senior portrait session. Nevada is an absolute joy to work with – she is super smart (she lettered in academics), confident, and such a natural in front of the camera. So fun and vibrant, and I just love her sense of style. A few favorites from Heather & Matt’s recent Denver engagement session at City Park – I just love these two – so bubbly and fun, and so completely adorable together. Huge thanks to Pam from Sapphire Celebrations for introducing us; I can’t wait to photograph their Colorado winter wedding at Cielo next year!
one of my favorite moments of the session was when Matt commandeered this bicycle from an unsuspecting passer-by (well, not exactly true – the riders were happy to lend it to us for a couple of shots :)

Just a few faves from a recent maternity session at Wash Park with Kelly & Dave (and their pups). I first met Kelly because she works within the wedding industry here in Colorado – she the mastermind behind Frosted Pink Weddings, a full service wedding planning company based in Vail (and we recently worked together on Kari & Nik’s recent Indian wedding in Beaver Creek where she was the coordinator ) She is the cutest pregnant mama! Congrats to you both – can’t wait to meet baby boy Karli soooon!

Full circle. That’s what it’s all about. Documenting life as it changes and evolves.. from engagement to wedding to growing family. I photographed Heather & John‘s wedding two years ago at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge, and now they’re about to welcome their first baby. Full circle. I love that.

I have the most incredible clients. I really truly do. And I am grateful to them for allowing me into their lives. Jessica and Travis are the kind of people that you immediately click with – easy-going, vibrant, and fun, and we had such a blast during their downtown Denver engagement session. So. Much. FUN! I love their chemistry, and how they clearly adore each other. A few faves..

You may recognize Alissa & Josh.. maybe from their gorgeous Colorado engagement session atop Vail mountain.. or possibly from their incredible dowtown Denver wedding where we got to shoot in LoDo in the rain (before heading to the Evergreen Lake House for the reception).. or perhaps it was from Alissa’s ah-mazing ‘trash the dress‘ photo shoot in the water? Regardless, Alissa & Josh are well-versed as models in front of the camera, and they are some of the most incredible people that I know. When they contacted me to tell me the news they were having a baby I was absolutely thrilled. They are going to be the most amazing parents.

With fall right around the corner and yearbook deadlines looming, it’s high school senior portrait season – and I’m loving every minute of it! I really enjoy photographing high school seniors, capturing this important slice of life and letting individual personalities shine.
Becca’s session was one of those sessions where we could have shot all night. She wanted unique locations, and she really really wanted to shoot in a junkyard. Of course I happily accommodated :) We had such a blast and I’ve been dying to share the results – have a look..
