A few weeks ago, I spent the morning with my friends Jonathan & Diana and their adorable girls, Abigail and Sarah Beth. We went to the park for some family photos and had a fun time on the playground, running in the field, and chasing frogs & butterflies! Here are a few of my favorites from our morning…
The girls

Haha, typical sisters!

The happy family

Baby Sarah

Oh my gosh, I love this face!!!!

Admiring the quilt made for her by our friend Jennifer :)

sweetness

Abigail :)
Can you see how her little lips are all pursed??? Oh, she’s so cute!

and happy!

Gotta love the pigtails!

Jonathan & Diana, I’m so glad we were finally able to do this! Your girls are so sweet! And it’s so fun watching them growing up and getting their little personalities. I love you guys and can’t wait to see what amazing people these little girls grow up to be!
To view more of my favorites from this shoot, check out the album on Facebook!

Hello all…it’s been a fun summer and I’ve been photographing a lot of kids and families and having an absolute ball. I know many of you are waiting to see some sneak peeks & this particular series just could not wait. At the end of my session with Fisher this evening, the sun was just about to set and the small amount of rays were hitting his face as he stood in his special spot in his yard as I was packing up the car. I had already put my gear in the car when his mom said “look they’re here.” I then replied, “who’s here?” she then said “the butterflies…look!” I quickly grabbed my camera and began to snap….These butterflies come almost every evening as the sun sets & if Fisher stands very still, they will come and land on him. Tonight was no exception & they were giving him true butterfly kisses…This was quite an amazing site! Absolutely incredible….
& the last image is that cute expression of “whoa….did you see that?!!!”
Enjoy

Bella is one of our nieces - Stephanie and Steve's (who is Christa's brother) daughter has been featuring on our photographs since she was born. These were taken for fathers day - a little late to be putting them up but we weren't allowed to spoil the surprise for Steve who was away exploring the Yukon at the time. We've got to put them up though because... well you'll see. :)

It’s amazing to me to watch my friend’s children grow!!! I have done a few sessions with Sydney over the years (here, here and here are just a few) and each time she just makes me smile. She’s adorable and fun and still begs to go home with me each time I go see her! It’s hard not to love it – and I have to admit, I love being called Miss Corey. Why don’t people do the Miss thing up here in the north??
This year Sydney was a LOT more active and not wanting to look at the camera much but I still got a few good portraits while we were playing.

After Sydney and her Mom picked me up at the Gulfport Airport we headed out to the beach for some portraits. It was raining so we had to drive out of it and make quick work of the little time we had. It was CRAZY windy and there was also oil on the beach so we didn’t go near where the water had washed up. We ended up not staying long due to the rain, wind and oil. Windblown sand is NOT enjoyable for faces or cameras!

Sydney practiced some of her dance moves on the beach.

Not sure what move this is?? Not long after this she flung some sand around – 2 years later and she still loves to play in sand!

The next day we met up with my friend Lisa and her two adorable girls (coming next on the blog!) at City Park. It was raining, again, so we couldn’t go to Longue Vue (someday I hope to make it there!) so we opted to stay where there was more cement.

Sydney was not digging my camera this day but I’m glad I got this shot, it’s a smidge sassy with a bit of serious thrown in. Love!

This is what happens when you take pictures near a playground and tell a 4 year old that you are going to eat instead of play. Sydney wasn’t a happy camper about that decision! LOL!
