It was such a wonderful surprise to wake up to the Completely Unveiled’s blog post this morning!! I tell you what, Kirstin didn’t waste anytime getting it up….I ftp’d the images yesterday afternoon and by the time I awoke…there they were! I knew Kirstin was dedicated, but when I saw she emailed me at 5AM, I was blown away! That girl continues to amaze me in new ways!
Emily and Ben’s wedding was beautiful as beautiful can be…and seeing it again this morning made my day brighter! We posted their sneak peek and still have yet to get the wedding up in it’s entirity! We’ll post it soon, but Completely Unveiled has it pretty much covered! Enjoy…and Happy Friday!

This weekend, Genya and I were having a {usual} heart to heart on our way home from Emily and Ben’s wedding about the future of VUE. We really are so excited and beyond humbled for what all lies ahead and the doors the Big Man upstairs has been opening for us…even though we’ve had some major bumps {and event hit some deep pot holes} along the road!
As many of you know, the last few weeks have been mayhem! Just when we start to get down, God places a blessing along the way that we weren’t expecting…and makes us smile in a BIG way! Two weeks ago we received one of the best email’s to date from Best of Wedding Photography. Sometimes Genya and I forget that a world exists outside of our day to day world and that crazy as it seems….people actually do read our {caffeinated} ramblings! We were taken back by Erik’s email and how much he actually knew about VUE and our work…even down to the details! His words were encouraging and kind beyond belief! We are now SSOOOO thrilled to be apart of Best of Wedding Photography!
Today on my way to see our Realtor about moving into our new house June 1st, my phone was blowing up with calls from Genya…only problem…it was on silent. Being persistent, she called my husband. Jared thinks he’s funny by joking around and telling me things that aren’t necessarily the truth. When we arrived {in separate cars}, he told me that Genya was freaking out on the phone because we had been chosen as a Southern Wedding Cover Finalist…I told him he was crossing the line with that joke…he’s cried wolf too many times and I’ve fallen for all of them! Well, he wasn’t kidding! So there I was standing in a parking lot squealing and jumping around like a little girl who had just won a trip to Disney World! Since we hadn’t heard anything, we just figured we weren’t in the running and agreed we wouldn’t get our hopes up….and then out of now where {or at least it was for us} God goes and does his thing and slaps us with another big blessing!! Even though we haven’t done anything yet, we are SSSOOOOOOOO stinking excited to have even been considered!! Not being very patient gals, we’re ready to get out and rock this cover shoot like no shoot we’ve shot before!! EEEKK….keep your fingers and piggy toes crossed!

Things have been rather crazy around the studio as Genya’s computer finally took it’s last breath. We, the VUE chicks have officially become “Mac Mommas.” Yes, it is true…no longer can we be mocked for our oversize PC monitors! To say the least, switching from PCs to iMacs has been quite a task!
Amidst weddings season, crashing computers and well…life….VUE is in the process of rolling out a brand spanking new website that Spilled Milk Designs has been designing…..and they are totally rocking it!! We seriously can’t wait for the big reveal!!! While pulling magazine features, we realized we accidentally missed something very important!!!!! Last year Natalie and Kevin were featured in Emerald Coast Bride’s Magazine!!!! Hard to believe they have almost been married a year! For those who may be noobies to the VUE blog and those who would like to jog their memories, peek back over to Natalie + Kevin’s LOVELY Carillon Wedding!

It’s a known fact to many that the VUE chicks are suckers for cake!! When we saw Angela and Brian’s cake, made by Confections on the Coast, it was just the happiness we need to put us over the top….it’s adorable perfection was the “icing on the cake” for us! The cake and vibrant yellows + blue’s captured the heart of Weddings Unveiled’s Blog Director, Kirstin as well! Yesterday, Angela and Brian made the Completely Unveiled blog!!

Aimee and Brad were our first wedding of the year….and due to our excited upon returning to the studio after their wedding, we posted a sneak peak! After hearing so much exciting buzz about the new Spring issue of Weddings Unveiled, Genya and I have been waiting with bated breath to see it! When we arrived at the studio, there in our inbox was the link we had been anxiously awaiting…I don’t think we could click it fast enough! {GASP!} The spread of Katie and Andy’s Carillon Wedding was beautiful, as were all the other featured real weddings!! The design and editorial talent these girls have is such an amazing gift{….kinda like Julia Child was to cooking}!!
The last year for Genya and I has been such an exciting journey and we have been so blessed to work with so many wonderful vendors and publications in the wedding industry!! The talent continues to amaze, astound and humble us on a daily basis! Thank you to Weddings Unveiled {and so many others} for your encouragement, support…and even friendship {even though we still haven’t met face to face…one day though!}!

Morning all…happily on my second cup of coffee, the music is blaring the “La Roux” channel on Pandora. The front door is wide open letting the sweet tunes leak down the sleepy streets of Panama City! I’m feeling mischievous today… we have a tendency to do prank calls- so our friends beware! Our best call was to Rae Leytham {one our closest photog buds}- we pretended to be a girl wanting a boudoir session for her fiance, but the catch was she wanted her dog in the pictures with her an they were going to wear matching lingerie. We’re still waiting on pay back for that one!
If I recall Pure 7 studio’s prank ed us once pretty good!
Anyhow- enough silly business and on to the point of this post. The SAVVY photographer is a great blog that serves as a inspirational haven for all things “photog”. Just like Alice falling through the rabbit hole- coffee in hand I’ve immersed my self in their entries for hours:) Amused and in awe!

Looking at the sunshine outside our studio window makes me smile knowing that spring is almost here! And then, I look to my right to see my personal little heater blasting at full speed like the “little train that could.” I’m pretty sure most people who live in Florida by choice, moved here for the warm weather. Well warm weather has yet to make an appearance. Either God is trying to show Al Gore a thing or two or He is making sure all the Spring Break hooligans at Club La Vela wear a little more than a G-string looking like they’re at a casting call for Jersey Shore. Maybe God would like Al Gore to buy them all Snuggies….now there’s a thought….
Well, while we sit here in hoodies, leggings, UGG boots and hats with a big poof ball on top {which by the way I’m very proud of}, all the {VUE} blog love floating out there in cyberspace is keeping us warm on the inside!

I’m confident when I say that if something {God forbid} happened to Genya and I….we would pass on being the happiest girls to walk on God’s green earth!!!! We have a job that as little girls we could only dream of one day having, husbands we cherish {we both married our high school sweethearts! Mine and Genya’s lives are so parallel it’s scary!}, and precious, sweet babies we couldn’t imagine a day without! Last week, another dream, blessing, accomplishment…call it what you will…came true…
One of VUE photography’s weddings, Kelley and Jonathan, was graciously chosen to be ONE of FOUR weddings featured in the {NATIONAL} issue of The Knot!!! You may remember Kelley and Jon by their nautical and vibrant themedCarillon Wedding {by Victoria}..or better yet, by their (and their entire wedding party’s) backside!
So with that being said, let me put out this disclaimer now…
If you happen to be strolling, or driving down Harrison Avenue and see two grown ladies dancing and jumping on a couch….just let them be! They’re living their dream!
