Happy Monday!
I love the Wildflower Center in the spring! Really, I love it anytime, but it shines like a diamond in the spring and is an incredibly beautiful backdrop for a wedding.
Erica and Chris picked a surprisingly warm, but gorgeous day for their wedding. All day long, there were scattered thunderstorm warnings and Bethany from 36th Street Events and I were huddled around her phone looking at the radar. Despite rain all around us, there was not a drop during the ceremony and reception. We had a little bubble of clear sky around this event and I think the weather was a reflection of this couple; clear and calm and warm and sunny.
It has been a lovely process getting to know these two over the last year. They are in graduate school on College Station and this summer will graduate, start new (amazing, I’m sure) jobs and continue their life together. As I scrolled through the photos, I always noticed how ‘right’ these two seemed together. They fit together in that ‘of course’ kind of way and it makes me very happy.
Thank you so much for choosing me to work with you Chris and Erica! I have enjoyed every step.
Big thanks to Tali for second shooting and the impeccable work by Bethany and her team from 36th Street Events.
There will be an extended gallery on the Facebook page later today and the couple’s full wedding gallery can be seen here within 2 weeks.

You can always tell when I haven’t blogged in a while. Generally, I start the post talking about how I haven’t blogged in a while (check!) and then the post is massive because I get excited (check!).
Elizabeth and Martin are two delightful souls that couldn’t be a better match. They have a calm and warm presence that made working with them such a pleasure. Martin also has a wickedly dry sense of humor that kept me on my toes. They met in running class (at Rogue running, a program which I have also trained with and loved – highly recommended) and the rest is history. You’ll see a really cute nod to how they met in their exit – make sure you make it to the end of the post. They had an amazing wedding at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower center. I remember when we first met, Elizabeth told me how they didn’t want to fight with the natural beauty of the Wildflower Center. They decorated with bright and soft pinks. It was a cheerful pop of color against the stone and greenery. So pretty.
Bethany and her team from 36th Street Events made sure the day ran smoothly as always. Thanks so much for your help wonderful ladies. You make my job easier.
The love and happiness from all of the family friends in attendance made this a very special day to be a part of. Thank you Elizabeth and Martin for having me along.

A cutie of a little girl that is very special to Martin and Elizabeth.

Pie lollipops! Yes, please.
A wishing well! Yes! Such a great idea for the pond.

Thank you fabulous, golden, sunset lighting.

I mean…I die. I Love. This was all them, by the way.

Cowbells and ribbon wands were given to the guests for the exit. Elizabeth and Martin dashed to the finish line (aka getaway car) wearing adorable custom racing bibs.
