Or “Spencer” as the Humane Society had named him.
He was my best bud for over 9 years, and today marks the 3rd anniversary of sending him off to a happier, pain free place. It took me a couple weeks to name him, but finally settled in on “Lucky”. Here is a photo of him probably around 9 weeks old, (the same week I got him)

Those of you who follow my blog, and have for a while know how much we cared about him here. If you are totally bored you can click here and see the post from Last St Patrick’s day for his Birthday blog post. Or you can read the heartbreaking post from his “Last Day” Here. Or the equally gut wrenching story of or “D” day. (D for Decision Day)
If you would rather not shed any tears… just look below and check out some of the great memories life has brought us today during our Easter Celebrations.

Cake Jen’s mom made my family.
Leighton LOVES to smell the flowers.
She says the smell pretty!
Her Custom Easter card for Vovo
Mom’s Boom Box blasting the Portuguese tunes all afternoon.
One of the 15 Orchid plants my mom is growing currently.

Easter egg/candy hunt all set up at Jen’s parent’s house.

It was more fun to take the Easter eggs OUT of the basket for Leighton.

Notice the two candies RIGHT ON TOP OF THE LIGHTS. The kids took 5 minutes to find them all while they were standing right over them.
And her NEW red sports coupe from grandma and grandpa! (She had a fit when we told her she had to get out and it was time to go home.)
