decor8 Kitty’s 8th Birthday

So excited to share with you pictures form my Daughter Kitty’s 8th Birthday published today on decor8!
The party was designed by my Amazing Wife, she sewed all the decorations by hand and made all the caked and sweets from scratch. Needless to say the party was a huge success! Kitty loves puppies especially her own, “Lola”. So she was so excited to sew and play with all her friends and of course her puppy!

Ever After Visuals is a mother-daughter team who specialize in wedding photography — we are wedding photojournalist, who capture moments that tell the love story of our brides and grooms. October 24, 2009 — what a perfect day for a wedding! We arrived at the Church early Saturday morning to capture some awesome images of Ester getting ready. We absolutely loved Ester’s dress — it was so unique! This was not any ordinary wedding dress. This gorgeous satin dress with a cathedral train had dashes of tea rose pink on the entire length of the train and in a band framed with crystal beading. The bridesmaid’s dresses were also very lovely being a fitted navy blue strapless gown with a fuschia sash that draped down the back. Gorgeous wedding dresses like this one make it easy to be a wedding photographer.
The ceremony was very beautiful. One of our favorite parts was the surprise vow renewal that Ester did for her parents! It was so incredibly sweet that there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. David and Ester are truly a couple in love who couldn’t stop gazing into each other’s eyes. It was such a pleasure to be able to capture the life-long bonds between family and to see the creation of a new one.
Next came the wedding reception! The entire Grand Ballroom was decorated in beautiful Fuschia and Navy tablecloths with equally elegant lighting. We know one thing for sure, and that’s that David and Ester’s family loves them a great deal! Ester’s brother was constantly surprising everyone with his smooth moves. First when the bridal party was anounced, next he sang for his sister as a toast and last as a random dance in which Ester also surprised everyone and joined in. And David and his Mom brought some emotion to the moment with the mother-son dance and ending with the entire family in a huddle on the dance floor. What a blast everything was!
David and Ester — we want to thank you for being such an awesome couple! Your wedding day was fun and you made it so easy for us being such a photogenic pair! The love and respect between both of you is clearly evident in the way you treat each other. We hope you enjoy a long and happy life together.

Colorado Destination Wedding – Beaver Creek

There are few places as beautiful as the Colorado Rockies in the fall. The brilliant bursts of yellow aspens and long sweeps of technicolor blue sky are a feast for the eyes. Fall has an extra special meaning for us, because it’s the season when Shane and I visited Colorado for the very first time and he asked me to marry him at a viewpoint in the foothills!
We were thrilled to have the opportunity to shoot a wedding in Beaver Creek during that same, magical time of year this past October. To take advantage of the window of perfect weather, Mary and Michael decided to do a “First Look” Session and see each other for romantic portraits before the ceremony. We had one breathtaking hour to capture the best sites in town, and then we headed to Saddle Ridge Lodge for the ceremony and celebration. The lodge was decorated with a mix of Ralph Lauren furnishings and an incredible collection of authentic western artifacts. We loved the rustic charm it exuded and the delicate details that Mary incorporated to give it a relaxed elegance.
As we drove down to Boulder the day after the wedding, a huge storm blew in, blanketing the area in snow. I love looking back on these photos and thinking of how lucky we were to be there for that perfect, transient moment in time.

it’s miller time!

We have another awesome newbie to share!!! Meet precious baby boy Miller! He is adorable and I cannot tell you how sweet and good he was for his first Picsee session! Leah and Robbie, thank you for being so patient and letting mine and Christy’s creative juices flow! Miller was sound asleep and oh so CUTE, with one of the best baby hairstyles we’ve seen! We couldn’t contain our excitement! We wanted to scrunch him up and put him in everything we had down here at the studio – ha! We had a blast spending the morning with the two of you and your precious Miller (and your mommy!) and we’re so excited about your images - can’t wait for you to see the rest of your collection! It’s birthday time for Miss Ensley!!!!! I cannot believe she started out here, and here and then here and now she’s one!!!! I do love watching our kiddos grow but it makes me sad that it goes so fast!!!! This session was the Baker’s last Sweet Pea session, and what better way to end Ensley’s one year book then with her birthday party! When Ashley called with the idea and then told me everything she was going to do for the party, I was pumped! Ashley, everything was gorgeous and I know everyone had a lot of fun… (the ball pit was a hit!) Baker fam, thank you for always being so fun to work with! You have a precious little girl and we all look forward to your sessions! We can’t wait for Miss Ensley’s next session - enjoy your sneak peek and we’ll see you soon for the whole birthday collection!

Morning all…happily on my second cup of coffee, the music is blaring the “La Roux” channel on Pandora. The front door is wide open letting the sweet tunes leak down the sleepy streets of Panama City! I’m feeling mischievous today… we have a tendency to do prank calls- so our friends beware! Our best call was to Rae Leytham {one our closest photog buds}- we pretended to be a girl wanting a boudoir session for her fiance, but the catch was she wanted her dog in the pictures with her an they were going to wear matching lingerie. We’re still waiting on pay back for that one!
If I recall Pure 7 studio’s prank ed us once pretty good!
Anyhow- enough silly business and on to the point of this post. The SAVVY photographer is a great blog that serves as a inspirational haven for all things “photog”. Just like Alice falling through the rabbit hole- coffee in hand I’ve immersed my self in their entries for hours:) Amused and in awe!
