i don’t want to brag, but we got ourselves probably the cutest patriots fan EVER known to man kind HA! seriously adorable. i had to bribe her with food to cooperate, because she just woke up from a nap and was moody (just like her momma).

and she even smiled for us! which she’s been doing a lot lately. i just can’t get enough of them

i know the patriots are in their second quarter and not doing to well…but we’re not fair weather fans! GO PAT’s!!!

meanwhile daddy is on the couch having minor heart attacks. seriously men only get emotional over one thing..and it’s sports..or better yet FOOTBALL! my husband is angry one second, screaming with excitement the next….then completely upset/sad..and then yelling at the TV. hahaha! my dad is EXACTLY the same way! i don’t get it.

Hudson’s newborn session

lila is seeing a speach therapist this week and we will be discussing how lila eats, if she’s doing it the right way or the wrong way. how well her mouth tones work and get her started on my chunkier solids. before every bath, we’re going to let her have full range of the food and will be teaching her how to pick up food and put it in her mouth.

here’s the end result of today’s teaching. EVERYWHERE!

and i understand i posted like 6 blogs in two days. HA! i had a lot of catching up to do i guess:)

today is lila’s first super bowl with the patriots, so i’m sure you’ll see a few images on her and her jersey!

Projects:Album Making

i’ve been a slacker. i might be a photographer, but i stink at printing and organizing my own pictures. last week i decided to make and print an album for emma and lila. every visit with emma, i make her an album to look back on and remember all our special memories together:) so i’m sending out her album below for valentines day. i have yet to print any albums of her trips, ugh. it’s not cheap at all. i figured we’ll get emma’s images out to her first and one day i’ll scrap enough money and print all of them for us! i also made an album from lila’s 1st birthday bash. i still need to edit last year images and make a BIG album..before the spring is my goal OR maybe before she’s two! ha!

I used the camera for 1.5 years before purchasing the Canon 5D Mark II. Obviously the camera is no longer for sale at B&H so it’s a little outdated. I used it as a primiary camera for 1.5 years and then a back up (which was hardly used after the 1.5 years). It has a few scratches.

It comes with two batteries. Battery charger. Battery Pack (shown). And maybe the strap, if I can find it.

I would highly suggest sending it away for a good cleaning. But other then that in good working order. I’ll take a picture with it in a few mintues and post it below. Just so you have an idea that it’s working and pictures turn out fine.

Remember folks, FULL frame without the full frame cost.

The funds will go towards another 5D Mark II back up camera. This summer I plan on purchasing the Canon 85mm 1.2 L lens too..eeks! I haven’t purchased a new toy in a long time!

Test image below. I only made it a bit darker, since i slightly over exposed (not used to the screen!). I have to admit, after using it, the camera feels like better quality then my mark II and it’s so much more quiet too!

Remember (again) there are dust spots on the images, you need to send this away for a cleaning (like any other camera).

Moms of pre-school girls better watch out, because I have a real heartbreaker today! We had so much fun photographing Charlie. At 5 years old, he’s already a super cool dude and was a treat to photograph, especially after a day of shooting a few rambunctious toddlers. We were able to get some great expressions from him, and I love his big, soulful, brown eyes. Look through this set, and tell me this kid shouldn’t be on a tv show or have a modeling contract. What a cutie.

Courtney + Andrew + Logan found the very best day of the week to venture out to a favorite location of Logan’s for exploring, playing, walking, and enjoying the peacefulness of nature. Needless to say, following a three-year-old through the woods and around streams is definitely a workout, but it was incredibly fun and so worth it. It was an incredible privilege to capture meaningful photos for this happy family.

so i’ve been an etsy fan lately. well i’ve always been a fan, but i’ve been skimming through the site and “pinning” my favorite ideas and i came across THIS idea! i’ve been needing some wall decor for the kitchen and thought this would look CAHHute in a white mat and 8×10 frame! on the etsy website, just to get a print of this puppy was $25 (not including shipping) and then add in the cost of the frame! probably would’ve run me close to $40. so for about a week now, i’ve been brainstorming what i could to make this! i had some left over credit on a vector website (from the business) and purchased the state of maine illustrator file. made it all white, saved it and then re-opened in photo-shop and change colors and added the heart (a free FONT i downloaded). i wanted it simple, but of course i had to write out maine. cute?! now printing. i would print it off at home, except it would take 100 gallons of ink and that stuff is expensive! so i’m going to print it at staples for .59 tomorrow and buy a cheapo frame & mat and hang it up in the kitchen! my budget is no more then $10, so i’m saving $30 bucks! cheya!

i’ll hopefully have a second tomorrow to print and get the materials and i’ll take a picture! my husband is still talking about moving out to the mid-west..and if God decides to open doors in the future, i’ll def. be hanging this up in my kitchen! there’s no place like home

in all this took me 1 hour to make. don’t judge..i’m no illustrator expert. actually when i took the class in college, i cringed at the idea of illustrator every time the professor mentioned or made us work in it! yuck!

i went with browns, because my kitchen is rustic maine theme. you know.. bears, moose and rustic wood.
