I’m back! I’m still technically on maternity leave, but I was itching to get out and shoot again, so when Anna and Bert emailed asking me if I could shoot their engagement session this month, I jumped at the chance! We met up on Saturday at their super cool apartment in Worcester. It’s in a converted schoolhouse and is totally amazing. We started inside the building, since there were lots of cool spots to work with, and since Anna and Bert wanted some photos with their cats. How much do you love the orange wall at the entrance of their building?
We then headed outside to a park near their apartment. It was freezing out, and I am therefore in awe of these two – please note that Anna is not wearing a coat in some of these photos.
The cold become pretty unbearable for all involved, so we headed back into their apartment to take some more photos. I love that their cat insisted on being in some of the photos again. I also love the shots of Anna and Bert drinking wine since Bert has recently started making his own wine! I’ve decided that I really like doing engagement shoots in couples’ homes. This is the second one that I’ve done, and I love the intimacy and the journalistic style of the photography. I also feel like the couples are more comfortable and therefore being themselves since they’re in their own homes. I’d love to do more shoots like this in the future!
Stay tuned for Anna and Bert’s wedding this summer!

Tenley and Josh got married at The Lenox Hotel a couple of weekends ago, and I was so excited for their wedding! They are a great couple, and they both love photography, so I knew their wedding was going to be an amazing experience. Special thanks to Shawn and Heather for all of their help, and for some of the shots below! Heather and I started off the day with Tenley in her suite at the hotel. Her dress was magnificent! And how even more gorgeous does it look hanging from the chandelier? Tenley looked absolutely beautiful, and it was a great start to the day!
After an emotional first look outside the hotel and group shots outside the Boston Public Library, we all headed back into the hotel for the ceremony. It was personal, sweet, and both Tenley and Josh were all smiles.
Since Tenley and Josh love photography so much, they built in a ton of time after the ceremony for us to run around the city and take photos. We took photos near the concrete behind the library, the trees along Commonwealth Avenue, and the brick near Newbury Street. I love the city feel of the photos! And I love how great Tenley and Josh look!
When we finished outside, we headed inside the hotel to take some more photos.

During the reception, we were lucky enough to be able to sneak away and go up to the roof of the hotel. I totally love this next set of photos – so Boston!
And we got even MORE lucky, because while we were up on the roof the sign for the Lenox turned on!!!
We took the wedding party photos in front of some buildings on Commonwealth Avenue, and then near the trees.
This next photo is one of my favorites from the night (thanks for the idea, Josh)!
The reception was held in the same room as the ceremony, and it was lovely. There were lots of dances and speeches, and Tenley and Josh were beaming the whole night!
Congratulations Tenley and Josh! Your wedding was amazing, and the camera totally loves you both. I hope you enjoy looking through the photos!
p.s. I nearly got a concussion (long story) two seconds after taking the above photo, but it was totally worth it!

Erin and Matt got married last weekend at a beautiful church in Clinton, and then had their reception at The Devens Common Center. Heather and I started the day off with Erin, who was getting ready at her aunt’s house. Erin looked absolutely beautiful, and her dress was stunning! From there we headed to the church for the ceremony. When the ceremony ended, we headed to a park in Clinton for some group photos and portraits of Erin and Matt. We then made our way to the reception for the party! It was an exciting day, and I am so happy for Erin and Matt! Special thanks to Heather and Shawn for all of their help and some of the shots below.

Shelley and Scott got married last Friday at the Doubletree Hotel in Bedford, MA. It was super hot out, but that didn’t damper anyone’s spirits. Shelley and Scott are two of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and I’m so happy that they had such a wonderful wedding. Shelley was radiant, the day was beautiful, and everything was absolutely perfect. Thanks to Shawn and Heather for all of their help (especially for getting me water!) and some of the shots below!
Heather and I started off the afternoon with Shelley, who was getting ready at the hotel. Like I said, Shelley was radiant, and looked totally gorgeous.
We then headed out to the courtyard for the ceremony, which was lovely.
When the ceremony ended, we had a few minutes to take photos of Shelley and Scott in the courtyard.
When we were done with the portraits, we headed inside for the reception. Here are a few of my favorite shots of the first dance and speeches.
And here’s my favorite set, the dancing! Shelley and Scott’s wedding was SO MUCH FUN. I ran into Shelley on the dance floor at one point and she said that she didn’t want it to end! I agreed! It was really hard not to join in on the dancing – everyone was having such a great time!
Congrats Shelley and Scott! You guys are awesome, and we wish you all the best!

Anne and Ben got married last weekend at Veronique Ballroom in Brookline. It was a beautiful day. Anne and Ben were adorable, there were Star Wars cuff links, and the details were amazing (peacock feathers everywhere!). Heather (who took some of the shots below) and I started the day off with Anne, who was getting ready upstairs from the ballroom. Anne was absolutely radiant!
After taking some photos of Anne with her bridesmaids, we met up with Shawn downstairs at the ballroom (thanks Shawn for some of the shots below!) for the ceremony. The ceremony was lovely, full of laughter and personal vows.
After the ceremony, we headed outside to take some group photos and photos of Anne and Ben.
We then headed inside to the lobby, which was amazing. I think I could have taken photos there for hours!
Here are a few of my favorites of the wedding party – I love the colors!
When we were done taking formal photos, we headed inside for the reception. Up next are some of my favorite details (so elegant!) as well as some photos from the beginning of the reception.
And here are some of my favorites of the dancing!
Congratulations Anne and Ben! Thank you so much for having us at your wedding – it was wonderful!

I met up with Jill and Jeff on Monday for their engagement session in Cushing Memorial Park in Framingham. What an awesome place for a photo shoot! There were zillions of places to take photos, and I have to admit I was overwhelmed by all of the possibilities! I think the bleachers were my favorite – I could have done an entire shoot right there. Jill and Jeff were great, and I am really looking forward to their wedding in July 2012! Thanks to Shawn for carrying my stuff and for a couple of the photos below.

Emily and Brian got married this weekend at The Barn at Gibbet Hill. What an amazing wedding, at an amazing venue! Things looked ominous for a bit during the afternoon, but prior to the wedding’s start the sun came out, and everything was absolutely perfect. Many thanks to my second shooters Alan and Shawn for some of the shots below, and all of their help!
The ceremony was beautiful and personal. It took place in a big open field. It was epic!

After the ceremony, I spent a few minutes with Emily and Brian taking portraits out in the field and in front of the barn. How cute are they?
Here are a few of my favorites of the wedding party. Check out the bridesmaids’ purses! I kind of wanted to steal one.

I think this next shot is my favorite photo from the entire day!
I loved all of the purple details at the reception. And the inside of the venue is just as nice as the outside! Here are a few of my favorite moments and details from the reception.
And now… the dancing!
Congratulations Emily and Brian! Your wedding was absolutely beautiful, and I wish you both the best!

Beth and Jon got married last weekend in an intimate, lovely ceremony in the Public Gardens. It was a beautiful day, and I loved the wedding for its simplicity and emotion. Special thanks to my assistant Linda for some of the wonderful photos below!
We started off the day with Beth, her maid of honor, and flower girl, who were getting ready at The Back Bay Hotel. Linda and I both enjoyed photographing Beth’s adorable wedding dress, not to mention the very entertaining flower girl!

My favorite part of the entire day was Beth and Jon’s “processional.” They walked through the city, from the hotel to the Public Gardens, with all of their wedding guests. It was so much fun! Beth was absolutely radiant, and there were tons of city onlookers shouting their congratulations.

The ceremony took place in the Public Gardens, and it was beautiful. The sun was shining, Beth and Jon were both so happy, and everyone had a great view!

We headed back to the hotel during the cocktail hour to sneak in a few pics of Beth and Jon. I was totally thrilled with the window light!
The reception was an elegant dinner at Grill 23. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the cocktail hour, dinner, and toasts.

Congrats again to Beth and Jon! Your wedding was beautiful, personal, and super fun to photograph!

Meet Tenley and Josh! They are getting married in August, and I can’t wait for their wedding. It’s going to be in Boston, and if the weather is good, we have the potential for a spectacular photo op! I am not going to talk about it too much as I don’t want to jinx it.
We met up on Friday for their engagement session in Boston. We started out on Newbury Street, at the location of their first real date. From there we walked down Newbury Street, looking for fun spots to shoot. I love the next set for the green door!
We decided to walk through parking lots parallel to Newbury Street, and how lucky were we to find this awesome blue-ish wall that matched Josh’s shirt! This might be my new favorite location in all of Boston (if only I could remember where it was!).
We headed along Newbury Street and ended up at the Public Gardens, where everything was in bloom!!! How spectacular is the pink in the next shot?
After the park, we headed down into the Arlington T station to do some cool subway shots.
Stay tuned for Tenley and Josh’s wedding in August!

Laura and Shaun got married this past weekend on an absolutely perfect spring day! Special thanks to my second shooters Shawn and Alan for all of their help, and some of the photos below!
I started off the day with Laura while she and her attendants got ready at the hotel. Laura was so relaxed. And so very lovely too. How much do you love the flower in her hair?

I took the shuttle with Laura to the chuch. We drove through the most beautiful scenery to get to the church – I was sort of wishing we could stop the shuttle to take photos! When I got to the church I was absolutely thrilled because it was the most perfect and wonderful church I’ve ever seen. The light was spectacular, and every aspect of the church felt designed with photographs in mind! It was charming and perfect. If you or anyone you know are looking for a great place to tie the knot, please check out The White Church in Blandford. You will not be disappointed! Laura and Shaun’s ceremony was amazing. The readings were my favorite part. My only regret was that the ceremony wasn’t longer – I was really enjoying photographing the church and could have continued to do so for hours!

After the ceremony, we took the formal photos and used both the church and the grounds around the church. How cute is the stone wall? And how perfect was the light? And how awesome is it that there is an adorable yellow couch IN THE CHURCH?
Here are a few photos of the wedding party. Again, how much do we love this church!??!?!
When we were done with the formals, we all headed to The Southampton Country Club for the cocktail hour and reception. Here are a few of my favorites from the beginning of the reception – first dance, toasts, and some fun details. Favorite detail: a Mad Libs guest book. GENIUS! A very close second place goes to Wedding Day IPA, brewed by Shaun for the guests.
And then, of course, there was dancing!!
There’s a first time for everything, and today is my first time devoting an entire segment of a blog post to a wedding guest. This guest might be my favorite wedding guest of all time. Somebody requested Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA” for him. I have to admit that this song is one my guiltiest pleasures. I don’t really listen to the radio, so I tend to get really excited when it’s played at weddings. Not nearly excited, however, as this guest, who went totally nuts and had his own dance choreographed. He even did a salute. It was the best. thing. ever. I wish I could have joined him on the dance floor!
Congratulations Laura and Shaun! Your wedding day was absolutely perfect, and I wish you the best!
