I loved everything about Katie & Troy’s wedding in Winter Park – at the time of planning it was a destination wedding, but in the course of planning not only did Katie’s parents end up moving here, but Katie & Troy will soon be Coloradoans themselves! :) Katie and Troy are such wonderful people – they exude warmth and love and are just a joy to be with. On the wedding day we had glorious blue skies, an amazing 360-degree view from atop the mountain at the Lodge at Sunspot, and a breathtaking sunset. In true Colorado style, the bride arrived with her parents on the ski lift to walk down the aisle – it just doesn’t get much better than this! The ceremony on the outdoor patio was so heartfelt and touching, and was followed by a lovely reception inside the lodge. Such a pleasure to be working with Kara Delay from Pick-Me Flowers who expertly coordinated the event to flawless perfection. A few favorites..

Kassendra and Brandon were married last month in a mountain wedding held at Seven’s in Breckenridge. Seven’s is a restaurant nestled into the mountainside of Peak 7, offering spectacular panoramic views. And for Kassendra and Brandon, it was the ideal spot for their destination wedding. Their beautiful heartfelt ceremony was held outdoors on the patio overlooking the Continental Divide. And their reception was wild and crazy – their DJ rocked the house (the dance floor was jam packed the entire night!) Big kudos to Danielle Odil from Something Classic Events who expertly and flawlessly coordinated the entire event. Here are just a few faves..

I knew from the very first conversation with Mary and Kevin that I wanted to work with them. We clicked. Immediately. This is such an important element when hiring a photographer for your wedding: to find a photographer who you feel completely comfortable with, someone who you feel you mesh with in terms of style and personality. We had so much fun during their engagement session in Wash Park..
love this shot of the two of them with their two dogs, Bella and Chuck

Thank you, Mary & Kevin, for hiring me, and congratulations on your engagement! I’m so thrilled to be working with you and can’t wait for your wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield next summer, 2011!

Maggie & Brandon’s Colorado mountain wedding at Beano’s Cabin in Beaver Creek was so absolutely incredible – I don’t even know where to begin. Such a unique venue – a rustic log cabin sitting amidst the ski slopes of Beaver Creek Resort, Beano’s boasts a world-class chef and spectacular mountain views. Beano’s also boasts a resident porcupine and other curious wildlife.. :)
Maggie and Brandon’s outdoor ceremony overlooking a grove of aspen was perfect – so personal and truly representative of them. Cocktail hour was held on the deck overlooking the mountain range, and then guests enjoyed an elaborate four-course meal followed by toasts, cake, and dancing. Lots and LOTS of dancing. Wild raucous revelry. I don’t think Maggie & Brandon would have it any other way :) What an amazing night, and such an honor to be a part of.. A few favorites:
love this moment during the ceremony
the gorgeous bride (dress from Anna Be’ Bridal)
details – Maggie did an amazing job with her flowers, and the cake was beautifully crafted by the pastry chef at Beano’s Cabin

and another sweet moment during the mother son dance
just married!
Thank you so much for having me be a part of your day – my warmest congratulations to you both!

Amy& Craig are married! Their mountain wedding ceremony took place at the Beaver Creek Chapel, which is a lovely stone chapel nestled into the trees in the heart of Beaver Creek. The reception was held at the Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa at Beaver Creek, with a cocktail hour on the patio overlooking the river. Such an amazing day, and I loved being a part of it.
one of my favorite parts of the day- ‘getting ready’
Amy is so exquisite -she had a huge smile throughout the entire day, and the most infectious laughter. I love this shot of her getting ready in the bridal suite at the Westin before the ceremony – pure joy
gorgeous gorgeous details! love this color palate
sweet moment of the bride and groom after the ceremony
signing the marriage license (love the subtle reflection to the right :)
the bride and groom with all of their guests in front of the Beaver Creek Chapel.. just a little flare :)
married!
Thank you, Amy & Craig, for having me photograph your day. My warmest congratulations to you both!!
So lucky that I not only get to work with amazing clients but I also get to work with such an incredible team of vendors – starting with the ceremony at the Beaver Creek Chapel officiated by Tim Wilbanks, and Vail Valley String Quartet provided the classical music before and during the ceremony. Cocktail and Reception Music provided by the amazing Fred Hammond with A Great Time DJ, and videography services were provided by Artistic Aura Productions. Hothouse Flowers of Vail created the stunning bridal bouquets and floral centerpieces, and Amy’s dress was from Boulder Bridal. The Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa, with their incredible attention to detail and service, hosted both the cocktail hour (on the patio) and the reception in the Riverside Ballroom. Big kudos to all involved.

With fall right around the corner and yearbook deadlines looming, it’s high school senior portrait season – and I’m loving every minute of it! I really enjoy photographing high school seniors, capturing this important slice of life and letting individual personalities shine.
Becca’s session was one of those sessions where we could have shot all night. She wanted unique locations, and she really really wanted to shoot in a junkyard. Of course I happily accommodated :) We had such a blast and I’ve been dying to share the results – have a look..

Congrats Becca, and best wishes for your success and a fabulous senior year!
