Soooo, I'm sure you all remember Matt + Wendy as they were the winners of the Wedding Photography Giveaway contest Justin and I posted last winter. I was so excited that Matt + Wendy won and felt that their story was very deserving of such a prize! Their wedding was lovely and I felt honored to be part of such a joyous occasion!

Teresa + Kenneth were married on July 3rd, 2010 at the Athenaeum in Pasadena. I'm super happy with the way that this wedding turned out, what a beautiful wedding and what a beautiful couple! I seriously was in love with this location and thought it was a perfect fit for Teresa + Kenneth!

I'm SO excited for my little brother Jordan to marry the girl of his dreams...Cassie! Some of our long time blog followers may recognize Cassie's sweet face from mine & Justin's old photo blog when she hired me nearly four years ago to shoot her senior portraits.The next thing I knew I had a little brother named Jordan asking me who "that hot girl on my blog" was! I told him how cute I thought she was, then randomly a few months later they ended up meeting at a mutual friend's bonfire at the beach! They dated and Cassie even wrote letters to Jordan while he served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jordan came home last December, swept Cassie off her feet and now they're getting married!

Kristyn + Ryan's wedding was so much fun! I knew it would be, we had a blast getting to know them through the engagement session and their humor just completely matched our's!

My favorite shot of the day! The emotion in this image feels so real, this is just before Kristyn & her mother walked down the aisle together. Also, I spy Nicole DeAnne in this shot, Kristyn hired Nicole DeAnne to do her hair and make-up, she even had Nicole stay until this very moment.
Ha! Kristyn was very entertained by Justin's glasses, I call them his "7th grade science teacher" glasses!
Seriously, something has to be said about
Melody from My Sweet & Saucy, the girl is TALENTED and her desserts taste out of this world!!! If you ever have the chance to taste one of her many delicious creations, do it, it is SO WORTH IT! Kristyn + Ryan hired My Sweet & Saucy to bring dessert for their guests.
At the end of the evening there was an IN-N-OUT truck waiting their guests for a round two of dinner.A humongous THANK YOU to Kristyn + Ryan for having us out!

Happy Two-fer Tuesday! I decided to post two engagement sessions on the blog today, thought I would give all you followers some extra eye-candy since I was out of town last week and un-able to access anything via the internet.
Here's Shirley + Sam, I shot their engagement session along with
Jason Roger in LA with Downtown as the backdrop. We started at the
Observatory and then ventured out into the surrounding areas.

Eiman + Todd are friends with one of our past clients and Todd was a groomsman at that same wedding. I was delighted that they hired Justin and I, it's always good to keep business among people we already had the pleasure of working with!

Whitney + Steve were married at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley. This venue was beyond gorgeous and a little piece of heaven on earth right in the LA County!
Whitney + Steve had Justin and I come out and photograph their rehearsal dinner the night before. We don't normally photograph rehearsal dinners so it was a treat to participate in some of the pre-wedding festivities. We stole Whitney + Steve away for a quick thirty minute shoot that night and had fun with our surroundings. Here are few from that night.

Here are some of our favorite shots from the last LYON-SHOP!
We had the rockin-hot Roger & Lyndzee Ellsworth come and model for us! We do a total of 2 shoots on the day of the LYON-SHOP, here's the first shoot. We cover posing, working with your client, working with natural light and your environment, composition, and use of different lenses.
After the first shoot we go back and go over workflow, post processing, Photoshop tricks, marketing, album design, etc...
For the second shoot, we cover lens flare, off camera lighting, & more posing.

Okay, so one of my readers reminded me that I use to do a "favorite item of the day" and I totally forgot about it for some reason, so I'm starting that back up. Here's my favorite item of the day: Wendy's bouquet!
This ALMOST made it for my favorite shot of the day. I love watching little kiddos slow dance, so sweet!
At the end of the night, all the guests in attendance gave Matt + Wendy a big group hug just before they did their grand exit!
